The auspicious festival of Durga Puja is being celebrated in India with a lot of pomp and show. And when it comes to the festivities in Tinseltown, the craze manifolds, and the celebration is unmissable. Every year, we have seen our favourite celebrities joining the pandal for the fun-filled festivities and seeking the blessings of Goddess Durga. Among them, is the gorgeous actress, Rani Mukerji.
For the unversed, Rani Mukerji had tied the nuptial knot with the well-acclaimed director of B-town, Aditya Chopra, in 2014, in an intimate wedding ceremony. Rani and Aditya had a secret wedding, and the couple has been happily married for 7 long years now. After a year-and-a-half of their married life, Rani and Aditya were blessed with a baby girl whom they have named Adira Chopra.

In an interview with the ETimes, Rani Mukerji opened up about this year's Durga Puja celebration and recalled her memories of having bhog since her childhood. Talking about the same, the actress mentioned some of the delicacies that she enjoys during the festival and shared that the khichdi doesn't taste the same at any other time of the year. Adding to it, she said:
"For me, Durga Puja brings a unique chance to serve and enjoy bhog. I have had bhog since my childhood. The poribeshon (serving the food) that we do is something we love doing. The bhog khichudi (khichdi made of lentils, rice and spices) made during Durga Pujo always tastes divine. It will never taste the same if made during any other time of the year. I feel the difference is actually the magic of all the festivities."
In India, especially in the Bengali tradition, no celebration is complete without good food. Admitting to the same fact, Rani Mukerji revealed that she looks forward to trying the street food sold at the stalls during Durga Puja. However, she added that even her daughter, Adira looks forward to savouring hot tea in kulhad as she loves it. Sharing the details, the actress said:
“I have been looking forward to trying the street food at the Durga Puja stalls. In fact, Adira tasted her first cup of kadak chai in a clay cup with me at her first Durga Puja. And this year, she is very keen to savour the kadak chai served in the bharr (kulhad), which she finds very fascinating as the taste of the tea changes because it is served in the mud cup."

Further in the interview, Rani Mukerji revealed that her daughter, Adira had visited the pandal when she was three-and-a-half years old and added that her little one remembers the festival clearly. She concluded:
"She remembers the festival clearly even though she visited it two years back when she was only three-and-a-half years old. It’s great to celebrate the festival with her.”
