Ram Charan Shared First Statement After Twins' Birth, Wife Upasana 'Blessed To Be A Mother Of Three'

With the birth of the baby boy and baby girl, the couple became parents again after 10 years of marriage. The happy news was shared by Ram Charan's father, Chiranjeevi, through a heartfelt social media post. He shared that the mother and the newborns are healthy and doing well, and expressed immense joy at becoming a grandfather again. Ram Charan shared his gratitude for being 'blessed with three children'

Hours after the birth of Ram Charan and Upasana Konidela's twin babies, the RRR actor shared his first official statement regarding addressing the media. On the morning of February 1, 2026, Ram Charan expressed his feelings for his growing family. He highlighted the support from his community, including his friends, family, fans and other well-wishers. He thanked them for standing by him and his family "through every moment". Expressing his heartfelt gratitude to everyone who wished the couple on the birth of their twin son and daughter, Ram Charan said:

"Being blessed with three children fills me with gratitude. I'm thankful to all our fans, loved ones and well-wishers, who have stood by us and supported us through every moment."

Upasana is elated to become a mother of three

Ram Charan and his wife, Upasana, are over the moon to have received double blessings in the form of their twins. Upasana shared her vision for their future, stating she feels "blessed to be a mother of three" and hopes to raise children who understand that "privilege carries responsibility." She shared her wish to instil the virtue of compassion in her children and raise them to be strong individuals. Citing her father, she mentioned that "clarity of intention and faith" need to move in parallel. Talking about th necessity to give back the legacy associated with the littluns' names, Upasana stated:

"My father always believed that clarity of intention and faith go hand in hand. Today, I feel incredibly blessed to be a mother of three, exactly as we envisioned. Our hope is to raise children who are strong yet compassionate, aware that privilege carries responsibility – and that true legacy lies in giving back."

Upasana's father-in-law, Chiranjeevi, announced the birth of her twins

Megastar, Chiranjeevi officially announced that his daughter-in-law, Upasana Konidela, and son, Ram Charan, welcomed twins, a baby boy and a baby girl, on January 31, 2026. The babies are born at Apollo Hospital in Hyderabad. These are the couple's second and third children, following their first daughter, Klin Kaara Konidela's birth in June 2023. Sharing that the newborn and their mother were healthy and fine, Chiranjeevi wrote on social media:

"With immense joy and a heart full of gratitude, we are happy to share that @AlwaysRamCharan and @upasanakonidela have been blessed with twins – a baby boy and a baby girl. Both the babies and the mother are healthy and doing well. Welcoming these little ones into our family is a moment of pure joy and divine blessing for us as grandparents."

When Upasana shared her desire for more than one child

Upasana Konidela, the wife of Ram Charan, first expressed her desire for a second child in early 2024, stating she was "ready for round two" and felt emotionally and physically prepared to expand their family. Her wish was fulfilled the next year as she got pregnant with twins. On October 23, 2025, during Diwali celebrations, Upasana officially announced her second pregnancy. She shared a video from her Seemantham (baby shower) ceremony, describing the occasion as "double the celebration, double the love."

At that time, the caption was thought to indicate two happy occasions: Diwali and pregnancy; however, after the birth of Ram Charan and Upasana's twins, fans now see it as a subtle hint of their twins' upcoming birth. Upasana has been vocal about her journey into motherhood, previously advocating for women's reproductive rights and sharing that she chose to freeze her eggs at 29 to ensure she could embrace motherhood when she felt truly ready.
