Bollywood actor, Suniel Shetty's daughter, Athiya Shetty, got married to Indian cricketer, KL Rahul on January 23, 2022, at the former's farmhouse in Khandala. Their wedding was incredibly intimate, and the couple got married in the presence of 100 attendees, including their close friends and relatives. One year down the line, on February 21, 2024, Rakul Preet tied the knot with ace film producer, Jackky Bhagnani in a destination wedding in Goa.
Both weddings took place during sunset. Thus, the couple's pictures were filled with sunshine and looked simply surreal. Talking about their wedding decor, Rakul Preet and Jackky Bhagnani's venue featured coconut trees, a beachside backdrop and multi-coloured floral decorations. On the other hand, Athiya Shetty and KL Rahul's wedding venue was filled with white flowers, mainly mogras and floral strings. However, we can get a sense of similarity by looking at both the couple's wedding looks.

For the wedding, Athiya looked pretty in a peach-hued chikankari lehenga designed by Anamika Khanna, featuring intricate thread and pearl work all over it. She teamed her look with a full-sleeved choli with double dupattas. However, looking at both the lehengas worn by the two gorgeous ladies, we can easily understand the similarities. Both the Bollywood brides completed their looks with dewy-sheen makeup teamed with a neatly-combed bun hairdo.
Now, talking about the accessories, Athiya's look was accentuated with a polki and pearl-encrusted neckpiece, matching earrings and maang teeka. On the other hand, Rakul too, wore a exactly similar broad neckpiece featuring uncut diamonds, matching earrings and a maang teeka. Moreover, both of them ditched red chooda. While Rakul opted for peach-hued one with her sleek kaleeras, Athiya chose to wear diamond bangles along with her customised kaleeras only. In addition, the Bollywood beauties were seen flaunting their huge diamond rings while posing for the lens.

Coming to the grooms' looks, KL Rahul looked dapper in an ivory sherwani paired with matching doshala and pants. His look was accessorised with emerald jewellery. On the other hand, Jackky looked dapper in a beige-toned sherwani with golden work all over it in floral patterns. He wore a matching doshala, a similar-coloured turban, pants and a stone-embellished neckpiece.
As soon as Rakul posted her wedding pictures on February 21, 2024, netizens started comparing her looks with that of Athiya. Moreover, many netizens also mentioned how the Bollywood brides are also simply obsessed with the pastel theme. One netizen wrote, "Just fed up of this look and this theme." Another commented, "Spot the difference game." But one more netizen who was seemingly supporting Rakul and Athiya's uniqueness in their wedding looks, mentioned, "Comparing bridal looks is a new low. Both looked beautiful just as every bride does on her wedding day."
