As Dhadkan completed 20 years on August 12, 2020, Shilpa Shetty Kundra penned a heartfelt note in her nostalgic mode along with a video from two decades back. Celebrating 20 years of Dhadkan, Shilpa captioned her post as "Celebrating #20YearsOfDhadkan Time flies... it truly does! Felt a rather strong wave of nostalgia when I came across this footage @lehrentv, took me back two decades. Cannot believe it’s time to celebrate #20YearsOfDhadkan feels so weird to hear myself speak from 20 years ago. So many memories come to mind... the trendsetting outfits by @manishmalhotra05, the biting cold shooting in Interlaken (Switzerland) in those outfits. My director, @dharmesh.darshan addressing me as Anjali on the sets (never as Shilpa), this is undoubtedly one of the most special films and a huge milestone in my career."

Revealing how her co-star, Akshay Kumar had said back then that even in 2020, the music of Dhadkan will be a hit and thanking the audience for making the film a memorable experience for her, Shilpa Shetty Kundra continued, "But, what I loved the most about the movie was its lilting music... timeless! Weirdly, even Akshay had said that this music is so melodious that it'll work even in 2020. Honestly, I can't believe that I'm still a part of this milieu celebrating this movie, it’s been such an incredible journey. On the post, Shilpa Shetty Kundra's husband, Raj Kundra revealed that Dhadkan is one of his most favourite films of his wife and congratulating her as the movie completed 20 years, he commented, "This is one of my most favourite movies from your collection...congrats. 20 years later and you looking even better than before! Damn I am lucky."
Shilpa Shetty Kundra had appeared on Romedy Now's The Love Laugh Live Show and had recalled her first reaction when her then-beau, Raj Kundra had proposed her with ‘just 5-carat’ ring. Revealing how Raj had planned the proposal, Shilpa had shared, "He'd booked out the whole banqueting hall at The Grand. A bit OTT... he had like these violinists playing... He conned me into it, He said we are having lunch at a friend's place so dress up well. Not casually, just dress up well and my sister told me to wear red, so it was already planned. He told me from Mumbai we are going to this really cool place. I had no clue, but he had already asked my parents. So, the setting was all there and the cloche opened, and he did propose in the last course, dessert and it was this diamond ring."
If you had gone all awww over the romantic proposal by Raj Kundra, then Shilpa Shetty’s reaction will surely make you go ROFL. Shilpa had taken a while to say ‘yes’ because the ring, which was a 5-carat diamond, wasn't what she had imagined it to be. Shilpa had laughingly narrated the incident, "It was a 5-carat diamond ring and I might sound really materialistic here, but I was like it's just 5 carats. So, I took a while to say yes because I was like 'This is not what I imagined'. No no, I was just joking... So, he was like, because I took 2 seconds more, he was like, 'The wedding ring will be bigger', that's Raj for you.
