Akangsha Rawat is one of the most popular television actresses. She has made a name for herself in the entertainment industry by working in blockbuster shows like RadhaKrishn and Kahat Hanuman Jai Shree Ram. However, her personal life is not as beautiful as her career. For the unversed, she was married to Beyhadh fame, Piyush Sahdev, however, the duo parted ways in 2017. And now, Akangsha opened up about the reason behind their separation and much more.
In an interview with ETimes, television actress, Akangsha Rawat opened up about her divorce with Piyush Sahdev and revealed the reason behind their divorce. Talking about the same, the actress mentioned that her estranged husband, Piyush was cheating on her. RadhaKrishn fame added that she gave him many chances, but he didn't change. She also revealed that he treated her just as his nurse and money provider. Mentioning how shocked she was because of his infidelity, Akangsha said:
"Piyush was cheating on me, and I caught him on that within the first six months of our marriage. I gave him chances, but he did not change. Seems he had taken me to be his nurse and money provider. I was deeply shocked. He had portrayed himself to me as someone who hadn't been in any relationship before our marraige."

Further, in the same conversation, Akangsha revealed that they filed for divorce in December 2022. The actress added she had to let go of several charges from Piyush to move ahead in her life. Elaborating more about it, she revealed how Piyush borrowed money from her, however, he didn't return a single penny even though they got separated. Revealing how her mother was battling with cancer, and she had spent all her savings on Piyush's treatment and expensive lifestyle, Akangsha said that she was forced to go to court because he left her with no other option.
Akangsha further said that Piyush has refused to give any maintenance or alimony to her. On being asked if she thinks about reconciliation, the actress stated that she never got the time to think about reconciling with him because of the divorce proceedings and her mother's demise. She also added that she would never work with Piyush because he doesn't respect her. Talking about her desire to become a mother, Akangsha revealed she and Piyush are still not divorced, so she doesn't see a chance of getting married again.

Akangsha opened up about her marriage with Piyush and mentioned that there was no real love between them. She added that couples should spend a good of time with each other before taking the final decision. The actress also said that she and Piyush were not compatible with each other. In her words:
"By the time we understood that we were not compatible at any level and the marriage was just need-based and there was no real love, we were already married."
Earlier, in an interview with Etimes, Akangsha opened up about finding love again amidst her divorce battle with her estranged husband, Piyush Sahdev. She talked about the importance of good health and keeping away toxic people from her life. Mentioning that she is now open to love and a healthy relationship in life, she talked about how heartbroken she was at one point in life.
