In April 2020, Puja Banerjee and Kunal Verma had announced the news of their registered marriage and four months after introducing each other as husband and wife, they had informed that they’re expecting their first child. Puja and Kunal had gone for a staycation which her friend, Nikhila Palat had organised for the parents-to-be. It was then when Puja had finally delighted her fans with the first glimpse of her pregnancy journey as in the pictures posted by her from her staycation with Kunal, we had seen her flaunting her pregnancy glow and baby bump.
Puja Banerjee and Kunal Verma had their pregnancy photoshoot a few weeks ago, and the couple had shared behind-the-scenes pictures and videos on their social media profile. While the BTS glimpses had made us crave for the actual result, Puja finally posted a picture from their pregnancy photoshoot. Puja posted a breathtakingly beautiful picture with Kunal, wherein she can be seen posing for the camera while her husband kisses her baby bump. Donning a yellow-coloured dress and a sunflower in her hair, Puja looked nothing less than a sunshine.
On September 14, 2020, Puja Banerjee had posted pictures of her baby shower ceremony and it was one of the cakes that had caught our attention. The quirky cake was arranged by Puja and Kunal’s friend, Akanksha Chamola, which had given a glimpse of the delivery room scenario where Puja was on the bed as the doctor had helped her deliver the baby and Kunal had an oxygen mask on his face. “Push Puja Push” was written on the cake. Puja had captioned the pictures as “I can't express my feelings in words as I am overwhelmed with all the love each and everyone showered yesterday for my 1st baby shower. In an interview with The Times of India, Puja Banerjee spoke about one of the rarest surprises from her husband, Kunal Verma i.e., the baby shower ceremony. On being touched by Kunal’s efforts for her, Puja remarked, “They say that during pregnancy, emotions run high. I am a very sensitive person, so Kunal’s efforts touched my heart. Even the friends and family who visited us, quarantined themselves for a few days as they were meeting me. Everything was arranged by Kunal, and I was totally surprised because he is usually bad at giving surprises. I am glad he did it. The baby shower is one of the rarest surprises I got from my hubby, and I was overwhelmed. In the last few months, we have been alone and have not met my friends or family, so it was an emotional moment for me.”
Revealing how she has been prepping up for the baby and her plans to resume her work post-delivery, Puja Banerjee said, “Life is changing every day, and we are eagerly waiting for the day our baby arrives. I am mentally prepared for this wonderful journey, because I was waiting to become a mother. I hope I will be able to manage my work and my baby equally, as I am planning to get back to work next year.
