Pregnancy is a journey that isn’t a cakewalk for a woman as it is filled with some painful moments but it also has some beautiful moments which make those crucial nine months an experience to be cherished for eternity. It was four months after introducing each other as husband and wife and announcing their wedding, Tujh Sang Preet Lagai Sajna fame, Puja Banerjee and her co-star from the same show, Kunal Verma had informed that they’re expecting their first child. In April 2020, sharing a throwback picture from Durga Puja - Sindoor Khela in 2019, Puja and Kunal had announced the news of their registered marriage. After postponing their wedding plans twice, once due to professional reasons and the next time because of the pandemic, Puja and Kunal had finally embarked on their journey of Mr and Mrs in 2020 and will soon embrace the next beautiful phase of their lives i.e., parenthood.
Puja Banerjee was surprised with her baby shower ceremony and the gorgeous mommy-to-be has posted pictures of the same on her IG handle. For the baby shower, Puja looked beautiful in a yellow-coloured dress with a mommy-to-be sashe. Puja flaunted her baby bump and pregnancy glow in the pictures. It was one of Puja’s baby shower cakes, which was arranged by her friend, Akanksha Chamola, that caught our attention. It had a glimpse of the delivery room scenario where Puja is on the bed as the doctor helps her deliver the baby and Kunal had an oxygen mask on his face. “Push Puja Push” was written on the cake. Puja captioned the pictures as “I can't express my feelings in words as I am overwhelmed with all the love each and everyone showered yesterday for my 1st baby shower. A few days back, Puja Banerjee had her pregnancy photoshoot with her husband, Kunal Verma. While Puja had looked adorable with her mischiefs in the behind-the-scene pictures and videos, Kunal was seen supporting his wife. The maternity photoshoot had balloons, soft toys, baby clothes and everything adorable to make the pictures a memory to be cherished for a lifetime. Puja Banerjee and Kunal Verma had gone for a staycation which her friend, Nikhila Palat had organised for the parents-to-be. It was then when Puja had finally delighted her fans with the first glimpse of her pregnancy journey as in the pictures posted by her from her staycation with Kunal, we could see her flaunting her pregnancy glow and baby bump. Speaking about her almost a decade-long relationship with Kunal Verma and how he has changed, in a better way of course, post-marriage, Puja Banerjee had said in an interview with The Times Of India, "We have been in a relationship for almost a decade, but he is a different man after marriage. He is very supportive and loving, and takes even more care of me now than when he was a boyfriend." Revealing her baby shower and plans for a traditional wedding after the little one arrives, Puja had continued, “We had a lot of dreams for our wedding, and had planned everything to the T. However, the pandemic changed everything and even my mother, who lives in Kolkata, could not attend our registered wedding. I am hoping to have a regular ceremony and do my pheras with Kunal after the baby arrives.
