Priyanka Chopra has become a global icon, and there are no second thoughts about it. After mesmerising audiences with her breathtaking Bollywood performances, she has done some commendable job across seas in Hollywood as well, making her one of the most popular and demanded actors back there.
PeeCee has been riding high professionally with two back-to-back releases in Hollywood, Citadel and Love Again. While the former has been a cross-continental series with high-octane action scenes, the latter has promised the audience a sweet tale of love and romance. Interestingly, in the trailer of Love Again, fans have spotted a unique moment where Priyanka shares the screen with her hubby, Nick Jonas. But what has caught eyeballs is that the duo enacts a scene requiring them to perform an awkward slow kissing scene, where Nick ends up licking Priyanka’s face. And now, India’s proud desi girl opened up about the same in the show, Live With Kelly And Ryan and revealed:
“Thank God! Thank God it was my husband. The scene was written originally in the movie, which stars Sam Heughan and Celine Dion in her first acting role by the way, which I am surprised by. The scene was written that it was a bad online date. With this guy I am eventually like take it slow. And he starts licking my face in slow motion. And this is during Covid-19, and they had to cast a random guy to do it. I was just dreading that. I am okay with no saliva in these situations, especially with someone you don't know."

Moving further in the interview, Priyanka mentioned how the film’s director, James C Strouse, suggested incorporating her hubby, Nick, for that role. Fortunately, Nick was present in the same city of London then. Recalling how she was overly excited to have Nick portray the role, she mentioned how she convinced him herself, she revealed:
“Nick happened to be in London. Because I was going to be there for a-year-and-a-half, he said 'I will help you settle down'. So our director Jim, was like 'Well, since Nick is in town, and he is an actor, would you mind if we asked him. And I was like 'Yes! I will do it, I will ask him'. Because that was comfortable saliva. It is familiar.”
Priyanka Chopra has been embodying multi-tasking to perfection since she welcomed her daughter, Malti Marie Chopra Jonas, via surrogacy in January 2022. Unfortunately, Malti was born prematurely and was kept in NICU for 100 days before finally returning home. Fast forward to now, the doting mommy, Priyanka, revealed the tense and nervous times she faced when her daughter was released back home. Revealing her habit of checking on her daughter every minute to see if she was alive, she mentioned:
“You know your child is alive, because you can see their heartbeat on the monitor. I couldn’t sleep for days, because now suddenly she was home without a monitor. I used to put my ear on her chest. I would wake up every couple of minutes just to see if she was OK. For weeks, this went on.”
Much like every parent, Priyanka Chopra and Nick Jonas dote on their daughter, Malti and shower her with all their love and warmth. However, they have become all the more protective of her since she suffered a tough fight between life and death at the time of her birth. Elaborating on the same, in an interview with Elle Magazine, USA, Priyanka recently revealed her inability to discipline her daughter, which stems from her continuing fear of losing her. In her words:
“I don’t even know how I’ll ever discipline her (Malti) because I just don’t have it in me. I was so close to losing her so many times that she can get away with anything and I just want to see her happy. I want her to be the happiest. She’s a super smiley, happy baby, and that’s all my goal is—to see her joyous.”

Life has turned a new leaf for Priyanka Chopra as she has now been promoted to being a mommy to her little one. With all her priorities strictly focussed only towards the well-being and happiness of her daughter, Malti, Priyanka has also begun to understand the sentiments of her mom, Madhu Chopra. In the same interview with Elle Magazine, Priyanka spoke about the same and revealed how she could now understand why her mother could not chill out in her childhood. In her words:
“I was like, ‘Mom, chill out. What are you doing?’ Now I get it. I would take someone out.”
