Bollywood’s desi girl, Priyanka Chopra walked down the aisle with international singing sensation, Nick Jonas on December 1-2, 2018, as per Hindu wedding rituals and a Christian wedding. For the ones who are unaware, Priyanka met Nick at Met Gala, the love chord connected and soon they decided on forever. It was in July 2018, Nick had proposed to Priyanka and then, the two had a traditional roka ceremony on August 18, 2018. In an interview with Bustle, Nick had revealed an interesting detail about his wedding and the favourite part of the entire wedding. He had shared, “Priyanka and I were walking to the dinner and we looked at each other and just had a moment realising it was real. It was really happening. All the hard work leading up to the wedding day itself, we were there, and it was really special and it was just our moment.” He had also talked about the whole wedding experience, and had said, “The wedding as a whole was an unbelievable experience and life-changing in a lot of ways.”
Priyanka and Nick are one of the most active social media users amongst many celebrity couples. Recently, Priyanka was in Miami along with Nick and their relatives. Earlier, Nick had expressed his desire to have a baby. In an interaction with the US media, Nick had shared his excitement of having babies and giving his nieces cousin. Nick Jonas was quoted as saying, “[Having a family of my own] is the goal. It’s definitely something that I hope will happen. I am not sure of the exact timeline. Nick also shared that with his nieces, he has had his own share of training to be with kids. Here’s what he had stated, “The best part about being an uncle is that it’s like training wheels. You get to spend time with these young people and have some responsibility, which is nice.”
On the other hand, Priyanka too had shared her feeling regarding kids. At a charity event on October 17, 2018, Priyanka Chopra Jonas was asked about her close friend, Meghan Markle’s pregnancy by E! News. In an earlier interview, Priyanka had stated, “I am a very live in the today, maximum live in the next two months kind of person. But [in] 10 years, I definitely want to have kids. That is, it’s going to happen in the next 10 years. Well, hopefully, earlier than that. I’m very fond of children and I want to be able to do that.”
Recently, Priyanka got clicked at New York Fashion Week for Michael Kors fashion show. Her pictures from the show left her fans in a tizzy when they spotted a tiny bump. A friend close to the couple, had also revealed, “If she had a dream wedding in 2018, motherhood is what she is most excited about in 2019.” All of this created buzz that PeeCee might be expecting her first child.
While talking to People magazine, Priyanka had talked about having kids and brushed off her pregnancy rumours saying that it’ll happen when it will happen. She had stated, “We both know that that’s something that needs to happen, but it’s not something I think about very much. We’re both very driven, we love our work, we’re married to our work, and we’re both very supportive of each other’s work. So I’m sure it will happen in an organic way. We definitely want kids, and when the time is right, it will happen.”
On the other hand, Priyanka’s mom, Madhu had said, “It was a bad angle.” She had also added, “The outfit was nice. She looked like that only in some pictures, the rest were fine. Blame it on the camera angle!” Madhu had further revealed, “When I spoke to Priyanka on the phone, she told me that she was tired and hence, had a slumped posture. In an interview with a leading daily, mom Madhu Chopra had shared she was worried for her daughter, “There were times when I had doubts, if this is the right way she's going. She was moving so fast. She was on a rocket propelled move. I thought she's missing out on some aspects of her life because she's so dedicated to her career, profession and her craft. As I saw her evolve, I started enlisting. Only in the initial days I was worried. Later, I was with her in her trajectory."
