Priyanka Chopra is one of the most stunning actresses in Bollywood. She never leaves a chance to stun everyone with her amazing acting skills and impeccable style sense. Apart from being an exceptional actress, Priyanka is a doting wife to her husband, Nick Jonas and a loving mother to their daughter, Malti Marie Chopra Jonas. For the unversed, Priyanka and Nick tied the knot in December 2018, and they welcomed their baby girl via surrogacy in 2022.
Recently, global icon, Priyanka Chopra appeared on Dax Shepherd's podcast show, Armchair Expert and opened up about her initial conversation with her hubby, Nick Jonas. Talking about the same, the actress revealed that she was in a complicated relationship when Nick first texted her on Twitter. Priyanka also mentioned that their common friends didn't want her to continue with her previous relationship and were trying to set her up with Nick. She also stated about how his brother, Kevin Jonas asked him to contact her. In her words:
"He slid into my DMs in Twitter. I was in a tumultuous relationship at that time. This is 2016 and we had common friends who like didn’t want me to be in my relationship. They were like ‘Oh, he is single too. He is not really with that girl but he is..' His brother loved Quantico. I'm really glad because he told Nick, pointing me at a billboard, You should call her."

Further, in the same interview, Priyanka revealed how she reacted to Nick's text. Talking about the same, the actress mentioned that she liked that he messaged her, but she didn't want to admit it as she was committed. Priyanka also revealed how she asked Nick not to text her on social media as her team would read their messages. Talking about their early conversation, Priyanka said:
"He just DMed me and I was like ‘Why don’t you just text me?’ because my social team will just read these messages. He was like ‘Ya, ya, ya, you just want to give me your number.’ I kinda did, didn’t wanna admit at that time because I was in a relationship."
In the same conversation, Priyanka opened up about her hesitation in engaging with Nick. Talking about the same, the diva mentioned that when Nick contacted her, she was at the end of her relationship, so, she wasn't in the state of engaging with someone. Priyanka also stated that the age difference between her and Nick also stopped her from moving ahead and interacting with him. Calling Nick her dear old man, Priyanka mentioned:
"I was in long, long serious relationships, 6 years - 5 years average, but back-to-back.” She also added, “When Nick texted me in 2016, slid into my DM and we started chatting, I was at the end of my last long relationship before Nick. I didn’t want to engage as much at the time. I was like 35, he was 25. I really put a stop on it in a way because I judged the book by the cover. I said, ‘I wanna settle down. I have been there and done the fun days.’ I was like ready to get serious, not realising my husband was actually a dear old man stuck in a 25-year-old’s body."

For the unversed, Nick Jonas and Priyanka Chopra started talking when he messaged on Twitter. They first met each other at Met Gala in 2017 and began dating each other in 2018. Within few months of their relationship, Priyanka and Nick understood that they are made for each other. And finally, on December 1, 2018, the lovebirds walked down the aisle and became each other's forever. Fast forward to today, the couple is living a blissful live with their baby girl, Malti.
