Priyanka Chopra or now we can say, Mrs Jonas has been grabbing the headlines for the past one week, courtesy her big fat wedding with the love of her life, Nick Jonas. Priyanka and Nick exchanged their wedding vows on December 1, 2018, and following their Christian wedding was the Hindu wedding on December 2, 2018, at Umaid Bhawan Palace, Jodhpur. For the white wedding, the couple wore Ralph Lauren and for the Hindu wedding, they opted for the designer, Sabyasachi Mukherjee. Priyanka and Nick have been posting lovely pictures from their wedding on their social media handles, but more than that, there’s something else that caught our attention while going through the former’s Instagram handle. Within 5 days into their wedding, Priyanka Chopra has changed her name to Priyanka Chopra Jonas. To embark on the new journey of her life as Mrs Jonas, Priyanka adds her husband’s surname into her name! Here’s the screenshot of the same:
In an interview with NDTV, when Priyanka was asked about their honeymoon plans, she reverted, “I have no idea. Right now, I have just work commitments this whole month. And I don’t know. We still haven’t figured out where. I think it’s going to be a surprise though. I think that’s what my husband’s planning."
As per the reports, the newly-weds will ring in the New Year together. A source close to the couple informed a media portal, "The team will take a short break during Christmas. That’s when Nickyanka will fly to an exotic location for their honeymoon. PC will leave the country around December 27 and return in the first week of January."
The newbie wife, Priyanka also shared an advice for the newly-weds, and said, “I would just tell brides out there, whatever your priority is, is right. It doesn’t matter if your priority is work, that’s right. If your priority is honeymoon, that’s right. If your priority is doing nothing, that’s right too. ’Cause as newlyweds, it’s really your turn. you get to do whatever you want. Speaking about her bridal attire in the same interview, Priyanka remarked, "It wasn't about fashion. I wanted something unique. Both the dresses - red and white - were personalised for me... I wanted the longest veil in the world and I got that. The outfits were personal choices." About her veil, for those who don’t know, it was more than 75-feet long making the longest in the world ever.
At an even wherein Priyanka was accompanied by her husband, Nick Jonas, he was asked how difficult it was to smile for the pictures with so many people at the big fat wedding reception. Nick replied, “Not tough at all. They wanted pics, but were all giving blessings to @priyankachopra and me. I value that.” On being asked about his marriage to Priyanka Chopra, Nick said, “Both of our parents got married quickly. When you know, you know.”
In an interview with a magazine, when Nick was asked about their future and where they are planning to make home, he replied, "Good question! Let us be married for a little while before we make all these big decisions. We are in our honeymoon period right now and we will be for a long time. Thankfully we both have closets and we can put our things in each other's closets. It's very easy to combine our lives."
In an exclusive interview with Hello magazine, Priyanka and Nick opened up about their plans to have kid anytime soon. Given that Priyanka has always shared that her ultimate dream is to have as many kids as she can have, when asked if she is planning for the same anytime soon, she stated, "I always say, "Man proposes, God disposes. So I am not taking any chances. We definitely want kids and when the right is time, it will happen."
