The latest reports suggest that Priyanka Chopra and Nick Jonas will have their engagement bash on August 18, 2018, in Mumbai. A source earlier told DNA, “Priyanka has sent out messages to close friends and family members to set aside time on August 18 for a party. It’s exactly a month after her birthday and those close to the Quantico actor feel that she may make an official announcement about her relationship status at the bash. However, the venue of the do has been kept under wraps”.
And now, another source has revealed to an online media portal some more details about Priyanka Chopra and Nick Jonas’ engagement party. The source revealed, “It's a tradition for them to meet before the wedding and Priyanka's family insisted on hosting the Jonas family in their country. She wants everything to be traditional to respect her family's values, and definitely an Indian wedding”.
It further added, “Everything is very secretive but guests are expected to head there starting tomorrow. All of the plans are moving quickly and Priyanka and Nick do not want to have a long engagement”.
Earlier reports were quoted as saying, “His family, too, is expected to join the couple for the trip. Nick, who was earlier a member of the band Jonas Brothers, is part of a close-knit clan. In fact, PC and he took out time to attend the latter’s cousin’s wedding in June. They were also spotted on a double date with his brother Joe Jonas and his girlfriend Sophie Turner”. Meanwhile, Priyanka’s friend and Bollywood star, Raveena Tandon confirmed the former’s engagement. Raveena shared the following pic and we can see Priyanka flaunting her engagement ring like a pro.
In an article in Hollywood Reporter, a diamond expert was quoted as saying, “It is a timeless design and features a cushion-cut diamond set in platinum with what looks like small baguette diamonds on the sides. A ring of this size and quality would cost around $300,000. The classic style and design of this ring is perfect for Priyanka”.
Last month on July 27, 2018, rumours were rife which suggested that Priyanka and Nick are engaged. Bollywood actress and PeeCee’s co-star from Fashion, Kangana Ranaut revealed to a media portal, “I spoke to Priyanka the other day and I congratulated her. She responded in a very… She seems excited and very happy. If such an event is taking place, I’d love to celebrate with her because she is lovely and she deserves all the happiness. She is a very dear friend. I get very happy and excited about weddings and engagements”.
At an event in New Delhi recently, Priyanka was asked about her engagement to Nick and she had replied, “My personal life is not for public consumption. 90% of my life is for public consumption but 10% is for me. I am a girl and I have the right to keep that to myself. My family, friendship, my relationships are things I don’t think I need to defend or explain it to anyone. I am not running for the Office, so I don’t think I need to give explanations”.
In a media interaction recently, Priyanka’s mother, Madhu Chopra was asked about her beti and Nick’s marriage and she had replied, “Aap kitne serious ho”, to which the journalist replied, “hum toh hai” and she then retorted, “Aap serious ho toh hum bhi serious ho jaayenge”.
