Priyank and Benafsha, who happened to be one of the famous faces that MTV has given to the industry, entered the house of Bigg Boss for their 11th season and hit it off instantly. The two were in a relationship with MTVs other famous faces, Divya Agarwal and Varun Sood respectively. And what happened next, is history! Priyank and Benfasha, recently announced their relationship, leaving their fans elated. Now, in an interview with the Bombay Times, Priyank talked about his relationship with girlfriend, Benafsha Soonawalla, and how they developed feelings for each other during their Bigg Boss 11 days only, but began dating after spending time with each other outside the show.
In the interview with the Bombay Times, Priyank talked about developing feeling for Benafsha inside the Bigg Boss house, and yet keeping quiet. He said, “I had met Ben through common pals. We became good friends and I got to know her better during Bigg Boss. Both of us were single when we entered the house. We felt a strong connection, especially after I re-entered the house post my eviction. We developed feelings for each other, but didn’t want to make any commitment without being sure. Once out in the real world, we spent a lot of time together and realised that we were in love. It has been exactly two-and-a-half years since Ben and I are together. She gives me a sense of completeness and we fit together like missing pieces of a puzzle.”
Priyank also talked about why the couple took so much time to come out in open about their relationship. He said, “We took a lot of time to work on the relationship and didn’t make it public earlier because we wanted our space and privacy. Priyank also talked about staying away from each other due to lockdown and had stated, “Of course, we are unable to meet each other due to the lockdown, but we have mostly been away from each other due to our professional commitments. However, as they say, distance makes the heart grow fonder.”
For the uninitiated, Priyank had surprised his fans by revealing his lady love's name amidst the monotony of Coronavirus, making his fans happy. On April 4, 2020, Priyank had taken to his Instagram handle and had shared a picture with Benafsha and had written, "Confirmation", followed by a heart emoji. Benafsha had also shared the same picture on her Instagram handle and had captioned it as "Can’t nobody keep me like you. Call it unconventional. My love is habitual!" Take a look at it below:
Last year, in an interview with SpotboyE, Priyank had opened up on his dating rumours with Benafsha. He had said, "You know what! I have just started keeping quiet on all such matters. People keep linking me with some or the other girl. So I would just say: Keep guessing because I have stopped sharing my personal life. Yes, I have made it a question mark for everyone. With my past experience, I have realised that I should not talk about my private life.
