Peter Weber claims that he and Julie LaPlaca had a conversation before the memoir was released

Julie LaPlaca recalled her relationship with Peter Weber in the memoir by saying that the duo shared a close friendship in the beginning. However, it turned into a romantic relationship by 2020 after Peter and his former partner, Hannah Ann Sluss, separated.
Peter recently spoke to TMZ about the memoir, saying that there was some irony in Julie’s new book about truth and love. He further stated that when he was a part of The Bachelor, Julie was the one who was doing the same thing, while serving as a confidant and guide. Peter continued by saying:
“I am by no means a victim in all of this. I’m a grown man who is responsible for all of my actions, and I know that. That being said, going through an experience like I did involved a certain level of trust being given to people I really didn’t know that much about at the time.”
Weber claimed that the contestants are restricted from getting in touch with anyone outside the show, and they start depending on the producers for everything. Peter said that he was unable to believe that Julie and The Bachelor host, Chris Harrison, agreed to bring the book despite knowing that they disappointed him.
Peter revealed that he spoke to Julie before the memoir arrived, requesting her not to reveal his name or any other information about their relationship. However, Julie allegedly started laughing at that time, and Peter described the behaviour as “unforgivable.” Peter still claimed in the end that he was grateful for the time he spent on The Bachelor.
Insiders initially denied that Julie LaPlaca and Peter Weber were in a relationship

Peter Weber and Julie LaPlaca’s relationship dates back to 2019, when the latter started serving as a producer for the 24th season of The Bachelor. Julie’s work included working with Peter on interviews, dates, and more. This was the first time Julie worked directly with a lead on the show.
The rumours of Peter and Julie’s romance first emerged in 2020. The reports claimed that Peter was dating Julie instead of one of the contestants. The speculations were also believed to be true when the pair spent some time with each other in New York on New Year’s Eve. They were joined by Peter’s family members.
After the finale of The Bachelor Season 24 aired, Julie took to social media to respond to the rumours, clarifying that she and Peter were close friends and that it was a relationship that developed due to the intense nature of the job. Insiders close to production claimed during that period that there was nothing romantic between the duo and that they were colleagues and friends.
