The source stated that while Pete had to travel a lot for his work, Elsie needed some support at home for their child. However, the source mentioned that the duo is trying to find a co-parenting solution for now.

While the actor was in a relationship with Kim Kardashian around five years ago, he was also romantically linked to Ariana Grande for a brief period in 2018. Pete Davidson and Ariana Grande’s relationship started in May 2018. The pair got engaged around a month later in June 2018. The sudden news of the split in October 2018 led to mixed reactions on social media. This was because Pete referred to the relationship a few times when he appeared on Saturday Night Live! Furthermore, Ariana had also shared an Instagram Story from her partner’s dressing room before the split.

While the reasons were initially not revealed, a report by TMZ in October 2018 opened up about what exactly happened. Notably, Ariana’s ex-boyfriend, Mac Miller, passed away due to an accidental overdose at his residence in September 2018. Ariana and Pete’s relationship started shortly after the former separated from Mac Miller.

TMZ stated that the rapper’s demise left an emotional impact on Ariana Grande. Insiders claimed that after Miller’s death, Ariana discovered that she could not focus more on her relationship with Pete Davidson. Apart from that, the singer also realised that she was rushing in terms of getting engaged, followed by her marriage.

Shortly after Ariana Grande and Pete Davidson’s separation, a report by Radar Online in 2018 started trending. The outlet said in its report that Ariana had reportedly blocked Pete because he was not ready to move on. Radar Online also claimed that Ariana allegedly told Pete to leave her alone after the latter attempted to get in touch with her and also sent her a few gifts. The outlet stated that the claims were reportedly made by a friend of Ariana. An insider continued by saying:

“She had no idea how much everyone in her family didn’t like him until she broke it off and was like, ‘Why didn’t you all tell me when we were together?’ But ultimately they just wanted to see her happy.”

Ariana was told about the report by someone. She responded by writing on X that the claims made by Radar Online were false. Ariana even requested the media and others to avoid sharing anything so that she and Pete Davidson can move on while supporting each other at the same time. On the other hand, the split had reportedly affected Pete Davidson as he cancelled a stand-up show. However, he seemingly joked about the separation while he appeared for a show in West Hollywood in October 2018.
