Recently, Mouni Roy was heavily trolled for her looks as she attended The Devil Wears Prada 2 screening. Many users claimed that Mouni’s surgery went wrong. Amid this, Pavitra backed her and slammed trolls who criticised her for her alleged plastic surgery.

On April 30, 2026, Pavitra took to her Instagram handle and shared a video. In the now-viral video, Pavitra said that people nowadays love trolling, and the media also enjoys these things with double-minded captions. She mentioned that the media are doing this only to continue with their engagement. She slammed them and said that they must stop doing all this. In her words:

"Okay, so I don’t know what the problem with you guys is, but I think you all love trolling, and somewhere I think the media is also enjoying these things by putting the photos and then putting the caption in a very double-minded way, in a very funny way… And giving like a guess to the audience so that your engagement is going on. Stop doing all this."

In the clip, Pavitra took a dig at trolls who claimed that Mouni has gotten many surgeries to look perfect. She highlighted that if an actress thinks of undergoing surgery and their family is also okay with it, others should stay away from giving any suggestions. Pavitra stated that the trolls must be stopped. She was quoted as saying:

"Firstly to those who love to troll… saying ‘that they have gotten a surgery done, 500 surgeries they have done, 1 lakh surgeries they have undergone…’ Those 1 lakh were not taken from you, and we don’t come to you for suggestions. At least some people in the industry still say that yes, we are doing that, and if you want to do that, if your family wants to do that, please go ahead, spend the money and do it. Don’t troll. Just shut up."

The rumours around Mouni Roy undergoing plastic surgery have been swirling on the internet for a long time now. In 2025, Mouni broke her silence on the long-standing rumour surrounding her. During an event, Mouni was asked about the trolling. In response, Mouni shared that she ignored such comments. She was quoted as saying:

"Kuch nahin. Dekhti hee nahi. Let everyone do their jobs do not pay attention to such remarks. If you hide behind a screen to troll others and if you find happiness in that so be it."
