Karan Wahi Quit Acting For 'Bhakti'? 'Remix' Actor Lashes Out On Claims, 'Being Spiritual Doesn't..'

Karan Wahi, the famous early 2000s star, who made piercings look cool and gave a new take to the wristband culture, is now making spirituality a trend. The soon-to-be 40-year-old shared his own experiences on diving into spirituality and how the magic of 'naam jaap' transformed his life. However, his revelation led people to believe that he had left acting.

Karan Wahi slammed fake reports claiming he had left acting for spirituality

Recently, on Paras Chhabra's podcast, Karan Wahi talked about his spiritual practices and how they changed him from the inside. After his remark, many wondered if the 39-year-old actor had quit acting for spirituality. However, Karan quickly dismissed the buzz and revealed his future intention on the same.

Karan took to his IG stories and shared a strong message in reply to a now-deleted post, which claimed that the actor has decided to quit acting to focus on spirituality. However, Karan was quick to dismiss the claims and stated that being spiritual doesn't mean you have to leave work. He added that people should not spread rumours for the sake of going viral. He wrote:

"Being spiritual doesn't mean I have to leave my work. Please don't spread rumours for the sake of virality. Request to the concerned person to remove this post and not spread lies. Thank you."

Karan Wahi's speculation on him leaving acting surfaced when he talked with Paras Chhabra for his podcast. Karan found himself inclined towards spirituality when he was in his hometown in Delhi, and someone told him to wear a tulsi mala as he used to get angry a lot. After which, his life changed, and he slowly connected to God. He then started listening to Premanand Maharaj of Vrindavan. Karan revealed his life had transformed 360 degrees. His world changed as he stopped eating non-veg, and his family was also surprised at this fact. Plus, his friends cannot believe that he has been following the path for many months. He said:

"Someone randomly told me 4-5 months ago in Delhi that I get very angry, and that I should stay calm, and should wear a tulsi mala. I never had such a thought. It’s not that I am not spiritual, but over time, I had drifted away from spirituality for whatever reason. But I don’t know… the last four-five months have been beautiful. Somehow, I found myself wondering how I could get a tulsi mala from Vrindavan.”

Karan Wahi further revealed that Naam Jaap has helped him a lot. He even claimed that he was having a terrible skin allergy and his bedsheet would get bloodied due to it. But after he started praying and stopped eating non-veg, the problem magically left. He further shared that whenever he gets negative thoughts, he starts chanting, which helps him a lot. He said:

"I follow Neem Karoli Baba, and through him I was introduced to Premanand Maharaj ji. I started listening to his sermons, and then I understood what naam jaap is. One thing led to another, but whenever I find time, whenever I’m distracted or whenever I begin to think something negative, this thought comes to my mind that when you are doing naam jaap, you are doing something good, and it also helps you forget all your stress and worries."
