Parineeti Chopra has been dominating the headlines ever since she got married to the love of her life, Raghav Chadha. The duo had a big fat Punjabi wedding in Udaipur, Rajasthan on September 24, 2023, and glimpses of the same are all over the internet. Parineeti turned into the most gorgeous bride in her pastel-hued lehenga and added some personal touches to her wedding trousseau in the most beautiful way. And yet, we have got another interesting detail about her bridal look.
A few moments back, taking to his IG handle, Manish Malhotra dropped a few pictures of Parineeti Chopra's bridal outfit and shared how the actress paid homage to her nani at her wedding. The designer revealed that Parineeti wanted to add her nani's challa to her bridal lehenga as a heartfelt tribute. Sharing the pictures, Manish penned:
"Some details make all the difference. I distinctly remember discussing the lehenga design with @parineetichopra, who mentioned adding her Nani's challa (traditional keychain) to it! She wanted to pay a heartfelt tribute to her nani, who used to wear the same challa in her saree with the keys, a symbol of being the lady of the house."
Further in his note, Manish Malhotra revealed that Parineeti liked the melodious sound of the challa when her nani walked around the house. The designer added that he added that piece of legacy to her lehenga, along with some more elements that were significant to both Raghav and Parineeti. He further wrote:
"For Parineeti, the sound of the challa when her nani walked around the house, was a melody of strength and grace. And that's when I knew we HAD to add that piece of legacy to her lehenga. Of course, we added more elements that were significant to both Raghav and Parineeti like London, music, Khanda Sahib and more. It was not just an accessory... but a piece of her that Parineeti would have on her special day."
For her D-Day, Parineeti Chopra opted for designer, Manish Malhotra's white and golden lehenga with a long veil. She accessorised her look with emerald jewellery, which included a huge choker, matching earrings, and a maang teeka. Her customised kaleeras and a pink chooda added stars to her look. Flaunting her love for neutral colours, she went for everything minimal. Moreover, while brides these days go for elaborate mehendi designs, Parineeti got a minimal design etched on her palm.
Parineeti Chopra wore customised kaleeras at her wedding, and the significance of the design was simply unmissable. Parineeti's kaleeras featured some special ornaments adorned on them. The stunning accessory had elements from Parineeti and Raghav's love story, including the couple's initials, the symbol of Ek Onkar and Om, a coffee mug, a cupcake, a Punjab milestone, and a telephone booth. We can also see some musical ornaments, like the piano keys, vintage gramophone, and much more hanging on the kaleeras.
We are in love with the way Parineeti Chopra paid homage to her nani at her wedding!
