Recently, in a joint interview with Pinkvilla, Pankhuri talked about her first meeting with Gautam. She shared that she had found her husband extremely arrogant and he had thought that she was not girl-like. Pankhuri said, "This was in Umbergaon, I was doing Raziya, and Suryaputra Karn had just taken a leap. That's when we saw each other and our first impression was not at all good. He thought I was not girl-like. I thought he was extremely hot and arrogant. But, when I joined the show, we interacted and things started then."
Gautam also added, "I found her sensible, she wasn't loud at all. She wasn't like another girl in terms of other actors. That got me interested and the first time we kind of spoke, I asked for her number and we went out the same night." Talking about the big proposal, the duo revealed that no one had proposed each other. They just knew that they were right for each other. For those who don't know, Gautam and Pankhuri had met each other on the sets of their show, Suryaputra Karn, and had become friends. But with time, their friendship turned into love. They have an age gap of 14 years but it doesn't matter for the duo as they had already fallen in love with each other.
In a media interaction, Pankhuri had talked about life after marriage. She had said, "It has been one great year. The best thing about marriage is that you find a lifelong partner with whom you can share your happiness and sorrow. The best thing about Gautam is that he is both very decisive and human in his actions. But yes, I wish that he stops repeating the same thing a thousand times over. He somehow feels that the other person will not listen in one go, so needs to keep saying it again and again."
