Pankhuri Awasthy and Gautam Rode are living the most special phase of their lives. The duo recently hopped onto their parenthood journey and welcomed their twins, a boy and a girl into their lives on July 25, 2023. Being ecstatic parents, the duo has shared various snippets from their lives ever since they announced their pregnancy. And now, as the duo are busy with their parental duties, Pankhuri shared an unmissable glimpse of her delivery journey.
Taking to her IG handle on August 5, 2023, newbie mommy, Pankhuri dropped a video which featured a sneak peek into her delivery journey. The video starts with a glimpse of Pankhuri and Gautam, along with the former’s mother, opting for a mirror selfie, just a day before she underwent her C-section delivery. In the next few glimpses, we spot the excited families of the couple, as they heaped best wishes for Pankhuri, who was seen getting wheeled into the delivery room.

In the subsequent glimpses, we get to see the moment where the twins are shown to the awaiting family. Almost everyone swelled up in happy tears, as they saw the newborn twins. The video ends with different glimpses of Pankhuri and Gautam getting a grand welcome back to their home along with their twins. Moreover, we also get to see a moment where the newbie dad, Gautam getting confused between the gender of his own twins, and Pankhuri was seen giving a hilarious laugh to it. Along with the heartfelt video, Pankhuri penned a long note, that can be read as:
“These 12 days have been nothing but surreal …A little glimpse of how we welcomed the babies into this world and then eventually at home …. Surrounded by our families, with tremendous joy in our hearts.. and lots of love.”

On July 31, 2023, Pankhuri Awasthy dropped the first ever glimpse of her twins, as they got a grand welcome in their home. Pankhuri looked stunning in a pink co-ord set with floral and abstract prints. She carried both of her twins in her arms and looked happy. Gautam, on the other hand, placed one hand on Pankhuri’s shoulder, as he looked upon the babies. Moreover, in the background, we get to see a glimpse of the pretty arrangements made for their welcome. From a rose-petal carpet to lots of balloons, the décor was unmissable.

Taking to his IG handle on August 1, 2023, Gautam Rode dropped a heart-warming picture along with his twins, that was captured right inside the hospital room. The babies were seen sleeping peacefully on their NICU beds, while Gautam posed cutely in the middle of the two beds. He wore a hospital suit and a hair cover for extra precautions towards the newborns. Moreover, he placed blue and pink hearts over the faces of his twins, indicating their respective gender, as well as hiding their faces.
In one of his previous interviews with the Hindustan Times, right after his wife, Pankhuri’s delivery, Gautam recalled the time when he got super scary seeing his wife get false contractions at the seventh month of her pregnancy. Sharing his apprehension about the twins being born prematurely, he mentioned:
“In the seventh month, she got false contractions, so that time was scary for us because we thought premature babies na hojaayen. But, she stretched it to 38 weeks, so that’s God’s blessing, and our kids are strong Our wish of having a boy and a girl has been fulfilled."
