It is raining good news in Pankhuri Awasthy's life as she embraced motherhood for the first time with the arrival of her twin babies. Yes, you read that right! The actress and her husband, Gautam Rode are blessed with two little munchkins, and their happiness got doubled. For the unversed, Pankhuri and Gautam got married in 2018, and now, almost after five years of marital bliss, they have become parents for the first time.
On July 26, 2023, Pankhuri Awasthy took to her IG handle and shared the good news of the arrival of her twin babies. Sharing a picture note, the new mommy revealed that she and her husband, Gautam Rode, were blessed with a baby boy and a baby girl on July 25, 2023. Expressing their joy about becoming parents for the first time, the newbie parents penned a heartfelt note to announce the arrival of their little munchkins. The message on the picture can be read as:
"Twice blessed. We have been blessed with a baby boy and a baby girl. Arrived July 25th 2023. Hearts brimming with joy and gratitude. We joyously announce the start of our journey of a family of four. Thankful for all the love and blessings. Gautam and Pankhuri."

Sharing the good news, Pankhuri Awasthy penned a beautiful note, wherein she revealed her happiness about starting her motherhood journey with her twins. She mentioned that she and Gautam are elated to embrace this new chapter as a family of four and expressed their gratitude towards their well-wishers. Her note can be read as:
"As we embrace this new chapter as a family of four, we are filled with heartfelt gratitude for the love and blessings showered upon us."
When Pankhuri entered her third trimester, she got a cutesy baby shower ceremony from her family. It was then that the actress revealed that she and Gautam would deliver twin babies. For the intimate bash, the mommy-to-be donned a minimal golden-hued saree with a scallop border and styled it with a matching blouse. On the other hand, Gautam looked dapper in a green-hued shirt and blue denim. Pankhuri shared the special announcement of expecting twins at her baby shower bash by dedicating the theme to her twin babies. The highlight of the event was a giant board decorated with balloons which had "One plus one makes four times the fun" written on it.

Gautam and Pankhuri kept the news about them expecting twins private for the longest time. Later, in an interview with The Times Of India, Pankhuri talked about the same and revealed that it was her husband, Gautam's decision to keep the news hidden from everyone except their families. However, the actress added that she and Gautam are blessed to have twins and said:
"Gautam wanted to keep the news about having twins private. He felt it is something that the family should know and therefore we did not share it with everyone. However, every time when someone asked me about my baby, I always felt like saying 'babies'. Gautam and I are blessed that we are having twin babies.”
