Love is in the air for Mika Abdalla and her Off Campus co-star Josh Heuston. The pair was recently spotted out and about in Vancouver on August 10, 2026. Photos from their PDA-filled outing showed them not only smiling from ear to ear but also walking while holding hands.
However, the snap that caught the most attention and sent fans into a frenzy was one in which Josh can be seen kissing Mika’s forehead. Their actions confirmed fan theories that they are in a relationship.
For their outing, the duo kept things casual. Mika wore an oversized T-shirt with khaki boots and a small handbag. On the other hand, Josh Heuston sported a white tee paired with green cargo pants. He also wore a black baseball cap and black boots.
According to reports, Josh and Mika had attended Suki Warehouse’s Vancouver concert, where their co-star made a surprise appearance and performed a duet with the Good Looking singer. Now, fans who saw Mika and Josh's photos took to social media to react to them.
A user wrote, “Good for them!” Another wrote, “They look so happy together.” A third user penned, “Yellow yellow haze…love this for them!” A fan commented, “Mika is happy; I am happy for them.”
It is worth mentioning that Mika and Josh’s current outing comes just months after they sparked romance rumors. On June 22, 2026, they were photographed during a trip to Paris. In the pictures, the duo was seen holding each other in a convenience store. At the time, radio show co-host Emma Chow of 2DayFM Breakfast with Nath & Emma had also claimed that sources confirmed the Off Campus co-stars were dating.

In June 2026, Mika Abdalla and her ex-fiancé, Jake Short, confirmed that they had called off their engagement. However, a rep for the actress said that she and Jake continue to remain on friendly terms despite going their separate ways. They added:
“Due to recent interest in Mika’s personal life, it would feel remiss not to address that she and Jake are no longer together. They continue to support each other and remain on friendly terms, and kindly ask for privacy and respect.”
For those unaware, the former couple was together for four years. They first crossed paths in 2021. This is when they worked together on the Hulu show, Sex Appeal. In the show, Mika and Jake played on-screen BFFs on a journey to experiment with intimacy.
Behind the scenes, as the duo's real-life bond grew deeper, they eventually fell in love with one another. Interestingly, while working together, Mika had initially believed that Jake was into her after they ran lines in her hotel room while sharing a bottle of wine. She confessed:
"I was operating on the assumption that he was into me, because he was bringing the bottle of wine. Come to find out, that was not his intention at all. He just wanted to drink his wine!”
Later, Jake Short jokingly proposed to Mika during a July 2024 episode of The American High Podcast. Next year, in May 2025, Jake’s manager confirmed the news that the duo was engaged via an Instagram post. He wrote:
“An awesome day yesterday celebrating the next chapter for my longtime client, Jake Short and his fiancée [sic] Mika Abdalla. From set to real life – watching your journey has been a joy. Here’s to forever.”
