Prime Video's Off Campus and its cast are winning hearts for their performance, but the show's fandom has once again become the subject of a new controversy. To be precise, a new debate has left fans divided. It began after some fans accused the male cast members of unintentionally overshadowing the female cast by taking their partners to celebrations and cast events. While some argued it is stealing the spotlight from Ella Bright, Mika Abdalla, and India Flower, others felt the criticism was unfair.
The whole debate centers on the male cast of the show, including Belmont Cameli, Stephen Kalyn, and Antonio Cipriano. Given the show's popularity, their real-life relationships have gained significant visibility throughout its promotional campaign. Some fans of the show took to X, claiming that the actors' girlfriends appeared regularly in behind-the-scenes content and at premiere events. They believe that the attention around these partners has overshadowed the female cast who brought these book characters to life. In one fan's words:
"Do you guys have any idea that these women, who are nothing more than the guys' partners, are getting more visibility and engagement than the girls who are actually actresses in the series? And you still think that's normal? And we have to accept that? Are we living in a parallel world or what?, the world can just end."

The female cast of the show includes Ella Bright, who plays 'Hannah Wells', Mika Abdalla, who is 'Allie Hayes,' and India Flower, who will appear as 'Grace Ivers'. However, not everyone agrees with this claim. Many fans argued that the male cast's partners only supported their loved ones and led relatively private lives. In turn, they should not be blamed for appearing at these events. Some even created dedicated fan pages for these girlfriends, where they regularly share updates and photos online.

One fan replied in a satirical tone, penning, "damn, friend, what a huge problem, huh." Another user wrote, "And what do we have to accept? And what exactly do they want to do? Prevent the cast from going out and including the girlfriends (clearly outside the work environment). They're creating problems where there aren't any."

The whole debate has also sparked curiosity about the people involved. Belmont Cameli, who plays 'Garrett Graham,' has been dating screenwriter, Raina Morris. Antonio Cipriano, who is portraying 'John Logan,' is in a relationship with performer, Justine Verheul. Meanwhile, Stephen Kalyn, who plays 'Dean Di Laurentis,' is engaged to his long-time partner, Victoria Lovatsis. Since all three relationships are relatively public, fans have become increasingly familiar with them through their social media. Some fans even claimed that these partners have the same, if not more, social media followers as the female cast.
According to fan discussions, this whole debate between the male cast's partners and the female cast began earlier. It was when showrunner Louisa Levy shared a behind-the-scenes celebration video of the show. In the video, the cast celebrated with the champagne sent by the rock band, The Beaches. In turn, fans noticed several partners were present at the celebration. However, Mika Abdalla was absent from the video. Others claimed Ella and India did not get similar levels of attention.
Before that, some reports claimed that Belmont Cameli's girlfriend, Raina, had set strict boundaries for him regarding his intimate scenes with co-star Ella Bright. Although Raina debunked the rumors, they noticed she had unfollowed Ella on Instagram. Fans quickly linked it to the co-stars' chemistry on the show. However, Raina later clarified that it was done by mistake and even referred to Ella as her "homegirl". However, it only fueled more speculation about the tension behind the scenes.
