It began with Neha Kakkar posting an IG story with the lines, "Aaja chal viyah karwaiye lockdown vich katt hone kharche", and it had sparked the rumours of her probable lockdown wedding. But soon, it was revealed that the lines were from Neha’s music video, Diamond Da Challa. Then in September, her longtime singer friend, Rohanpreet Singh had posted a video with Neha, in which the couple had lip-synched the song, Diamond Da Challa. Towards the end of the video, Rohanpreet had slipped a ring on Neha’s finger, which added fuel to the fire.
Soon, a Times of India report quoted a source as saying that Neha Kakkar and Rohanpreet Singh are getting married on October 24, 2020, and it had made their fans excited. While Neha and Rohanpreet had managed to keep their relationship under the wraps for quite some time now, finally they have confessed their love on social media, making it Insta-official. Neha and Rohanpreet posted a twinning-in-black picture on their respective IG handles and while the former has captioned it as “You’re Mine @rohanpreetsingh #NehuPreet”, the latter wrote, “Meet My Zindagi! @nehakakkar #NehuPreet.” Neha commented on Rohanpreet’s post, “Awwwweeee.. Rohu Baby!!” Rohanpreet too, wrote a comment on Neha’s post, “@nehakakkar Babuuuuuuuu I love youuuuu soooo much mera putt meri jaaaaan. YES I AM ONLY YOURS. MERI ZINDAGI.” Rohanpreet has also added bride emojis in his caption and comment, which hints at their wedding.
Neha Kakkar had resumed the shoot of Indian Idol season 12 as a judge and looks like she celebrated her soon wedding with the fellow judges on the sets of the show. While Neha shared glimpses of the celebration on her IG stories, in one of them, she made a demand to her beau, Rohanpreet Singh. Neha wrote on her IG story, “I want cake everyday. Okay @rohanpreetsingh?” Rohanpreet reposted it on his IG handle with the reply, “Hanji hanji jo hukum meri zindagi meri jaan meri babuuuu doll. Amidst the speculations on their wedding, a picture of Neha Kakkar and Rohanpreet Singh had emerged on social media. In the picture, Neha and Rohanpreet had posed with his parents and a basket of gifts on the lap of the rumoured bride-to-be, who is sitting holding her beau’s hands, had hinted that it might be from their roka ceremony. On October 7, 2020, Rohanpreet had shared an IG story to congratulate Neha and her brother, Tony Kakkar for 1 billion views on their song, Mile Ho Tum. Showering praises on the brother-sister duo, Rohanpreet had called Neha, his zindagi.
Revealing the details of Neha Kakkar and Rohanpreet Singh’s October 24th wedding in Delhi, a source was quoted as saying by The Times of India, “The wedding is likely to take place in Delhi by the end of this month. It will be low-key due to the pandemic. The wedding is happening, soon.” However, Rohanpreet's manager had clarified the rumours to be baseless and had rubbished them by saying, “Yes, we have also heard such talks, but the two did a single together and that’s why they have been linked. Rohanpreet has no plans to get married.”
In 2019, Neha Kakkar and her ex, Himansh Kohli had made their breakup Insta-official and in an interview later, the ace singer of B-town had revealed if she is willing to give love a second chance or not. Neha had said, “With this bad experience, I am not open to love again.
