India’s biggest reality show, Bigg Boss is considered to be one of the most controversial shows in the history of Indian television. We have seen many petty fights and many brewing relationship that were never able to see the face of the outside world. The famous relaity show is popular for creating rumours and at times they continue even after the season gets over. And one such contestant, who often make headlines is Bigg Boss 12 contestant, Jasleen Matharu and her co-contestant, Anup Jalota. Everyone knows how about the camaraderie the duo had shared on the reality show. However, when Jasleen and Anup had come out of the show, they had called it just a publicity stunt and had brushed off the rumours. Anup had even gone on records and had stated that Jasleen is like his daughter and he find a suitable man for her. On October 8, 2020, Jasleen took to her Instagram handle and posted a picture with Anup. In the picture, we can see Jasleen and Anup in wedding attired. While Jasleen donned a gorgeous pink suit and teamed it with polki jewellery, Anup was dressed up in a beige kurta-Pajama with golden motifs on it. He teamed his look with a contasting stole and a turban. Along with the picture, Jasleen tagged the IG handle of Anup Jalota and posted two fire emojis. Check it out below:
But hey, are they getting married for real? The answer is no. This picture is from their upcoming film 'Ye Meri Student Hai'. The movie is inspired by their real life as Anup Jalota would be seen as the singer while Jasleen would be seen as his student.
This year, in May, Jasleen had shared pictures donning sindoor and choodha, and her fans had speculated that she had tied the knot with Anup in a secret ceremony. However, in an interview with Bollywood Hungama, Anup Jalota had declined all the rumours of the secret wedding. He had said, "Not Again! My marriage to Jasleen is news to me. I and her father are looking for a suitable match for her." He had further added, "I have suggested to them a Punjabi boy living in Canada. Nothing is fixed yet." Jasleen had also clarfied her stance in an interview with The Times of India, and had stated, "I was listening to ‘Chupke Se’ and the song gave me the feel of a wedding. I performed to it as I would like to on my wedding night and posted it on my social media page. It was just to experience a wedding feel while performing to the song. Ever since I have been inundated with calls inquiring whether I have got married."
In the same interview, Jasleen had talked about her marriage plans. She had shared, "Agar Jasleen ki shaadi hui hai toh poori duniya ke saamne aa hi jaayegi. However, I am not averse to the idea of tying the knot secretly. If I find the right man who understands me, I won’t think twice before getting married to him on the same night."
