Neha Dhupia and Angad Bedi welcomed their bundle of joy, a baby girl on November 18, 2018. Ever since then, their fans have been eagerly waiting to catch a glimpse of their little angel. Neha and Angad embraced parenthood with the arrival of their daughter in this world around 11 am at Women’s Hospital, Khar. A statement released by their publicist reads, "They are over the moon. On November 20, 2018, Angad posted an update on Twitter about ‘both his girls’ and tweeted, “The last two days have been very overwhelming. @NehaDhupia and me have been blessed with a beautiful baby girl. Thank you all for your wishes and love that is coming our way. Both my girls are doing really well...”
Later, Neha and Angad shared the first glimpse of their daughter and revealed her name as well. In the picture posted by Neha and Angad, they showed only her feet wherein she had a pair of socks on and ‘Hello World’ was embroidered on it. While Neha captioned it, "Mehr Dhupia Bedi says hello to the world...", Angad wrote, " Waheguru MEHR Kare @nehadhupia " Isn’t it a beautiful name? Mehr is a Persian name and it means blessing!
And now, the elated grandfather, Bishan Singh Bedi tweeted the first picture showing his granddaughter’s face. With the picture, he wrote, "U Little Beauty MEHR..another Lifeline for Grandparents...Both Maternal & Paternal..Aren’t we Blessed..?!! Yes All of it by Guru’s MEHR Only..GodBless Little One..Welcome to this Journey..Ordained by Almighty WaheGuru..!!"
After the birth of his granddaughter, Bishan Singh Bedi told to Mid-Day, "I am thrilled. The baton passes on. That's how it is from a social point of view." Ever since the arrival of Mehr Bedi, the wishes have been pouring in for the newbie parents and their newborn. Newbie mommy, Sania Mirza too congratulated the couple and wrote, "Kisses to you and hugs new mommy on the arrival of your baby girl. Life is never gonna be the same... Three weeks of experience talking. Play dates await." Sania’s cricketer-husband, Shoaib Malik too wished the newbie parents and wrote, "Heartiest mubarak Neha and Angad on being blessed with a baby girl... Mashallah. May Allah bless her with a life filled with happiness, health and comfort."
A few days ago, Neha revealed in an interview that they haven’t zeroed down on any name for their baby. She remarked, “We have yet not decided what will be naming our baby. We don't know and even the gifts we are receiving has 'baby' written on them, so ya, we haven't thought about it yet”. Neha also revealed that she is not thinking too much about motherhood and is going to take it as it comes, “For now I am only thinking about diaper changing and feeding the child”. Talking about another important issue, of breastfeeding, the 38-year-old actress was quoted as saying, “I will do what is healthy for the baby and mother.”
In August 2018, Neha and Angad shared a series of pictures from the maternity shoot, wherein the excited to-be mommy can be seen flaunting her baby bump and posing with the elated daddy-to-be. Neha captioned those pictures as, “Here’s to new beginnings #3ofUs #satnamwaheguru”, and on the other hand, Angad wrote, “Ha! Turns out this rumour is true. #satnamwaheguru”.
