Something similar happened on February 28, 2019, when a sizzling photo of Navya from Akash Ambani and Shloka Mehta's pre-wedding bash in Switzerland, popped up on the internet. Dressed in a sequined black maxi with long sleeves, classic scoop neck and a thigh-high slit, accentuating her look with a light grey faux fur wrap and block heels, Navya Naveli Nanda surely made heads turn with her scintillating appearance.
At Isha Ambani and Anand Piramal’s wedding on December 12, 2018, Navya Naveli Nanda wore a golden-coloured saree. The elegant kundan and gold necklace, earrings and a modern, geometric maang teeka framed and emphasized Navya’s face in a graceful manner. But do you know what was special in her saree? The designer duo, Abu Jani and Sandeep Khosla revealed through their Instagram handle that it had a personal touch because it was her grandmother, Jaya Bachchan’s saree which was revived for her.

Sometime back, on Koffee With Karan season 6, featuring Shweta Bachchan Nanda and Abhishek Bachchan, Navya Naveli Nanda’s mother expressed her concern for her daughter joining the film industry. Shweta firmly believes that Navya has no business being in the industry just because she comes from a family of famous people, unless she is completely driven, has the talent and feels passionate about it.
Shweta revealed that she doesn’t want her daughter, Navya to go through something that her brother, Abhishek has gone through in his career. Elaborating on the same, she shared, “Absolutely yes! I’m on Instagram and I follow my brother and know the hate he gets. Whether you like him as an actor or not, it will bother to me as a sister. I hated it, it gave me sleepless nights and I don’t want yet another member of my family to be in this business for selfish reasons. Firstly, I don’t know what Navya’s talent is. Just because she is related to some famous people, doesn’t mean she has what she takes.”
Expressing the fear of failure in the showbiz world and why she kept her daughter away from it, Shweta further added, “I think I was excessive, I was unfair, I thought selfishly... One of the bonuses of coming from a family that's in the movies, I know the heartbreak.
