Nancy Guthrie Dead, New Ransom Note Claims They Have Video Proof Of Her Last Day Before Her Passing

It seems like Nancy Guthrie's kidnapping is going to be resolved as TMZ received a new ransom note. But the news is not nice, the note claims that they have proof of Nancy the day she died and the kidnapper. For those unaware, since February 2026, the Guthrie family are pleading with the kidnappers to send their mother or let them know what happened. But after one initial ransom note, the conversation stopped. 

New ransom note claims she is dead and they have video proof of it

On June 26, 2026, a new ransom note about Nancy Guthrie's kidnapping was sent to TMZ. The outlet claimed that it was from the same individual who had sent the previous two messages, and claimed to know the person responsible for Nancy's kidnapping. It is revealed that the person who sent the emails has claimed that they have a video of the main kindappy and Nancy the day she died. In the email, the person mentioned that he was not the one who gave the tip about Nancy's burial site in Mexico. The person alleged that there are two kidnappers involved in the case. 

The person also wrote in the email that he has a phone kept in a secure location with the guarantee of the information and the safety of the phone. He claimed that he has a short video of the main guy with Nancy, which was probably her last, and the photos of the two people involved with names and addresses. The email can be read as:

"I am not the idiot who recently called in a tip about her burial site in Mexico. I have a phone stashed in a secure location guaranteeing both the information it stores and the safety of the phone. What it contains is my definition of delivering them on a silver platter, a short video of the main guy with Nancy the day that was probably her last, pictures of both involved, names and addresses and age."

As an immeidate action, the email has been sent to the FBI for further investigation. The outlet also replied to the note, which demanded one bitcoin for the location of the phone and its password. However, in the revert mail, they demanded one screengrab of Nancy as proof to authenticate the claim. It is worth mentioning that the FBI has been following up on the secondary notes and trying to verify them in the best possible way. 

FBI expert talks about the timing of the ransom notes

In an interaction, Jack Pack revealed that the new ransom notes hint that the moment the subject went silent, in order to keep the high-profile case going.  He added that the FBI Victim Services unit doesn't keep families in the dark, and they stay in contact. For the unversed, the new notes claim that Nancy Guthrie had died. Authorities have authenticated the notes which Savannah Guthrie talked about during her interview with Hoda Kotb in March.   

For those who don't know, Nancy Guthrie was abducted from her home in Arizona on the night of January 31, 2026. When she didn't attend the church service the next morning, her friends reached out to Savannah Guthrie, who rushed to see what was wrong with her mother, but what followed were days that turned into weeks and months with details of Nancy. It is worth mentioning that the Pima County Sheriff's Office had not shared details about the case so far with the public. A volunteer organisation in Mexico revealed that they had received an anonymous tip that Nancy might be buried in an unmarked grave close to the U.S-Mexico border.
