A couple of months back, social media was flooded with reports that Mrunal and Dhanush were getting serious and were even planning to get married on Valentine's Day 2026 in Hyderabad. The reports quickly went viral, but Mrunal later brushed them off without directly commenting on anything. During an interview, when the actress was asked about buzz, she jokingly responded, "Let's be hopeful; we still have two days to go." 

Well, it's safe to say that the rumoured wedding never really materialised. In an earlier interview, while promoting her film, Do Deewane Seher Mein, Mrunal had publicly addressed her relationship status. At that time, when asked about her dating life, she described herself as single, admitting that she was still searching for love. But until that happened, she wished to keep her relationships private. The actress said at that time that she would prefer to protect that part of her life once she found the right person.

Speculation of a potential romance between Mrunal Thakur and Dhanush began to surface after the pair were said to have been introduced through industry circles in Hyderabad, where Mrunal was often working on her Telugu film projects.
