When MrBeast revealed he wanted to keep his wedding extremely private and off-camera
MrBeast and Thea Booysen’s wedding is currently dominating the headlines for all the right reasons. Amid that, an old statement of the YouTuber has resurfaced, during which he shared that even though most of his life is in front of the media, he wants to keep his wedding extremely private and intimate. Speaking to Entertainment Tonight, MrBeast once explained:
"It's (engagement) been amazing. I love my fiancée very dearly, and I think she helps keep me grounded and makes me a better person. Maybe we'll take a photo at the wedding, but no."
Further, MrBeast shared that he films for nearly 28 days in a month and most of his life is out for the media. But it is his relationship with Thea Booysen that he wants to protect from media glare. In his words:
"It's just like my whole life is on the internet. I mean, I film 28 days a month. I'm always in front of a camera, and so, for the most part, my relationship is one of those things I just keep behind the camera 'cause it's just like everything else is in front of it."

Talking about their love story, MrBeast and Thea first met in 2022. Reportedly, their meeting was purely accidental, as they crossed paths at a dinner organized by their mutual friend. Soon, they became friends and eventually fell in love. Later, they made their first appearance. Talking about the first meet, Thea once had a chat with Wide Awake Podcast and shared:
"I really wanted to meet him in person. He was super nice, very down to earth and he started asking me a lot of questions. Little did I know he was going off a list because he was looking for a new girlfriend."
In December 2024, MrBeast proposed to his ladylove during their romantic vacation. And Thea screamed the easiest ‘yes’ of her life. Reportedly, it was on Christmas when the YouTuber popped the question. Since then, both Thea and MrBeast have often shared cutesy photos with his now-wife.
MrBeast and Thea Booysen tie the knot in an intimate ceremony
On July 21, 2026, MrBeast and Thea Booysen took to their Instagram handle to share cutesy snaps from their intimate wedding ceremony. Along with it, the YouTuber captioned it as, "I found MrsBeast and it was the best day of my life." The post instantly went viral and fans couldn’t stop showering love on them.

Soon after their wedding, Thea Booysen, who has now changed her name to Thea Donaldson, had a conversation with People, during which she opened up about their wedding. She stated, "It sounds silly, but this is really just a formality. Ever since we started dating we’ve been doing it with the goal of marriage. The difference is now the world knows we’re married."
Coming to Thea Booysen, she is a popular YouTuber like her husband. As per a report by People Magazine, she was born in South Africa. Over the years, she has earned multiple degrees like law, psychology and a Master’s degree in neuropsychology. MrBeast has also cheered for his ladylove during the graduation. Apart from being a gamer and YouTuber, Thea is also an author. In 2022, she published her first novel named The Marked Children.
