On November 21, 2022, Vikraant Singh took to his Instagram handle and wished his wife, Monalisa, on her birthday with a video. In the adorable clip, Vikraant and Monalisa can be spotted sitting in their bedroom, and a delicious cake with some candles is placed on the bed. The actress looked surprised in the video as soon as she laid her eyes on the cake. The couple kissed after Monalisa cut the cake, and it was Vikraant, who fed a small bite to his wife. In the video, the couple looked cute in their comfy casuals. Along with the birthday video, Vikraant penned a sweet note, and it can be read as:

Some trolls started pointing fingers at Monalisa’s outfit in the video and passed a lot of mean comments on the video. It was quite disheartening to see people trolling the actress on her birthday. While a person was targeting her for not respecting Indian culture and its traditions, some made fun of her nose. However, the actress remained unaffected by such nonsense.

Once in an interview with ETimes TV, Monalisa opened up about getting trolled time and again, sometimes for her outfits, physique, English and much more. In response to all the hate that she often receives on the internet, the actress stated that at the beginning, she was quite concerned about the trolling and used to get affected by the same. However, after dealing with it on more of a constant basis, Monalisa admitted that she no longer worries about trolling and online bashing. She had said:
"I have been trolled a lot in my life. I think it has reduced now but initially, people used to write a lot of negative things. From body shaming to people mocking me for not being able to speak proper English or my dressing sense, I’ve seen it all. But I was very naive when I entered the Hindi industry. People who love me are more than these trollers, so I don’t let them affect me. Initially, I did get affected by the trolling but I gradually understood that it is better to ignore them."
