Television's cutest couple, Gautam Rode and Pankhuri Awasthy are living the most beautiful phase of their lives. They are totally enjoying every moment of their new journey of parenthood. For the unversed, the couple tied the knot on February 4, 2018, in an intimate ceremony. And after five years of marital bliss, the lovebirds announced their pregnancy on April 6, 2023. And now, soon-to-be mommy shared her pregnancy journey.
On April 14, 2023, to-be-mommy, Pankhuri Awasthy took to her Instagram handle and shared her pregnancy journey. The actress dropped an adorable video of herself, wherein she can be seen talking about when she and Gautam Rode started planning their pregnancy. In the video, Pankhuri shared that earlier, they had decided to start a family after 2 years of marriage, however, the work pressure and the pandemic put a break on their plan. She also talked about how the pandemic gave her and Gautam more time for themselves as a couple and how they enjoyed their time together. Calling her pregnancy a surprise, Pankhuri said:
"So Gautam and I, we had decided that we will start a family after two years of marriage, but that didn't happen because work took persistence and then there was corona while everybody was getting pregnant we were just chilling. We actually started considering getting pregnant seriously in the fourth year of marriage. We had thought that in January 2023, is when we will actually start planning but destiny had other plans. I figured out that I was pregnant in December 2022. Obviously we had talked out it but when it happened, it came as a surprise."

In the video, Pamkhuri can be seen donning a light yellow-coloured kaftan satin dress. She accentuated her look with a beautiful kundan choker, featuring green beads and a pair of matching earrings. Pankhuri exuded pregnancy glow as she complemented her look with blushed cheeks, pink lips, highlighted cheekbones and a bun.
In an interview with The Times of India, soon-to-be parents, Gautam and Pankhuri had opened up about their pregnancy phase. Talking about the same, the doting husband revealed how they often take breaks from their busy schedule and spend time in South Mumbai. Gautam even revealed that they are planning their babymoon in their favourite destination, Udaipur. In the same interview, Pankhuri also talked about her pregnancy cravings and revealed that she satiates her cravings with lots of junk food like pizza and burger.

It was on April 6, 2023, when Pankhuri and Gautam had announced their pregnancy. The couple uploaded a cutesy animated video on their respective IG handles to share their 'good news' with their fans. In the video, we could see clapper boards with the captions talking about their first meet as scene 1, followed by their grand wedding as scene 2. Finally, in the end, we could see the third clapper board revealing their 'good news'. We could even spot the couple's animated version with Pankhuri flaunting her baby bump in a red-hued dress.
