Sometime back, Mohena Kumari Singh and Suyesh Rawat had attended the engagement ceremony of her brother, Divyaraj Singh’s brother-in-law, Raj and Rigvedita Mahurkar. While Suyesh had opted for a white kurta-pyjama, Mohena had looked simple yet elegant in a yellow-coloured saree and emerald-coloured necklace. Sharing a family picture, Mohena had written, “Welcome to the family Riggy @rigvedita I know there is nothing in the world that’s perfect... but for our Precious and Adorable Raj you are just Perfect! #raj #rigvedita #engagement.” She had captioned her other post as “It’s you I see... The rest is a blur. #rajsengagement.”
Now, for the grand wedding of Raj and Rigvedita Mazurka, Mohena Kumari Singh looked every bit of royal in her Rajputana attire. Mohena, along with her husband, Suyesh Rawat and family had headed off for Raj and Rigvedita’s wedding and since then, she has been sharing sneak peeks into the celebrations. From posing amidst the picturesque grand palace to the sneak peek of the royal baraat and a goofy Boomerang with the bride and groom, every glimpse proved how much fun Mohena and the entire family had at the wedding. For the same, Mohena looked gorgeous as ever in a fuchsia pink lehenga with pallu drawn over her head, which she accentuated with matching jewellery.
On January 14, 2020, Mohena Kumari Singh and Suyesh Rawat had completed three months of blissful married life and to mark the same, the former had treated her fans with unseen pictures from her wedding and vidaai. Sharing a frame-worthy picture with Suyesh, Mohena had written, “We completed 3 months yesterday... and the universe gave us such a special gift. Thank you @hellomagindia for the lovely feature... this was special! Posting a picture-perfect family portrait with her clan, in-laws and Suyesh Rawat, Mohena Kumari Singh had penned down the importance of family in her caption. Mohena had written, “In today’s day and age people are losing the importance and respect for family. But We still believe there is strength in togetherness. In Family there is strength that all the power in the world cannot undo. Hailing from a royal family of Rewa, Mohena Kumari Singh of Yeh Rishta Kya Kehlata Hai fame had looked every bit of gorgeous in a traditional red Rajputana poshak with pallu drawn over her head, small bindi, matha patti and borla (maang teeka), traditional jadau nath and an all-red chooda. While it was a treat to see Mohena in her bridal look for all her fans, for some, her look, which had a pallu drawn over her head as per Rajputana traditions, didn’t go well and had trolled the star for the same.
One of her followers had commented on her post, “Why is your face under veil?” To which, another follower replied, “@minimalindian because these are people who follow their so called male dominated rituals. Even education doesn’t get them a brain.” Giving a befitting reply to the troll, Mohena Kumari Singh had written, “@jiyasarna even Christians have a veil when they marry… and so do Muslims… I guess they are all uneducated too! It’s an age old Rajput tradition which Rajput women follow when they get married. This was not forced upon me.. I chose to do it @minimalindian.” Mohena’s sister-in-law, Vasundhra Raj Laxmi had replied, “@jiyasarna please go see Priyanka Chopra wedding pics.. And ask her if she is uneducated?!? These are traditions… English wedding people do it, you will like it CZ it’s modern. Indian tradition you will make fun of… wow man… I wonder who is uneducated?!?” Suyesh Rawat too, had given a befitting reply to the ones who trolled his wife.
