Remember her first look from the wedding when the bride and groom had come out to pose for the paparazzi? A 21-year-old Delhi girl had made us fall in love with the pastel lehengas when she picked a blush-hued Anamika Khanna bridal ensemble ditching the traditional red outfit. Shahid Kapoor's wife, Mira Rajput Kapoor too, is delighting her fans with beautiful throwback pictures. A few hours ago, Mira posted a picture with her girl gang from a friend's wedding she had attended back in 2017 with Shahid in London. Mira wrote, "3 years ago! #throwback" followed by a heart emoji atop the picture.
Mira Rajput Kapoor had yet again proved her love for simplicity with her sartorial picks at the London wedding. For one of the wedding ceremonies, Mira had picked Anita Dongre’s alchemy lehenga from her SS17 collection. Her combination of yellow and white had given a perfect summer vibe and was a beautiful choice for day weddings. The star wife had accentuated her look with a beautiful set of matching necklace, earrings and maang teeka. Coming back to Mira Rajput Kapoor's wedding lehenga, her designer, Anamika Khanna had revealed in an interview with the Vogue that it was a collaboration of ideas between her and the bride. Anamika had stated, “Mira’s wedding lehenga was a collaboration of ideas between her and me. She was very clear that she wanted something gentle and more pastel, nothing that would devour her. At the same time, Mira has a subtle classic taste. Following that guideline, we developed the pink pastel lehenga.”
Elaborating on Mira Rajput Kapoor's lehenga and the details, Anamika Khanna had explained that it came with a short-sleeved blouse and beautifully embroidered skirt which the bride had style with not one but two dupattas, one draped as a sari and one tulle dupatta covering her head. Anamika had continued, “This lehenga is an amalgamation of exquisite artisanship and centuries-old design. It featured embedded 3D flowers, pearls, floral embroidery with French knots and interwoven delicate zardozi work. With the help of 67 artisans, it took us about 48 days to make Mira’s bridal lehenga.”
Refreshing the memories from their wedding, a few days back, Mira Rajput Kapoor had posted an Insta story of a ‘major throwback’ from her reception. Manisha Malhotra had posted a picture of the then newly-wedded couple, Shahid Kapoor and Mira as they had walked hand-in-hand on their wedding reception and were all smiles for the shutterbugs. Manish had written, “@mira.kapoor radiant at her reception with flapper @shahidkapoor” and “@mira.kapoor in @mmalhotraworld #throwback The Blue Storv” atop it. Reposting the picture, Mira had written, “Major throwback! @manishmalhotra05” atop it. For the wedding reception, Shahid had looked suave in a formal black tux while his bride, Mira had swooned us in a cream and blue floral Manish Malhotra outfit and jewellery by Nirav Modi.
