Many hearts were broken when the actor had announced his wedding with Delhi-based beauty, Mira. From their age gap to their marriage being an arranged one, it all created a lot of stir in the media. We remember how Shahid had once revealed in an interview, the details about their first meeting and had stated that they had talked for continuous seven hours! And when we first saw Mira holding the hand of our favourite superstar and walking into her new home in Mumbai, we knew their love story is going to be forever.
The star wife often shares snippets of her life on social media handle. And while we love her cool mom tips and her Delhi-food cravings, we all look forward to her mushy pictures with Shahid. On June 25, 2019, Mira took to her Instagram and shared a cute video with Shahid, and captioned it as, "I got sunshine, on a cloudy day." Coming back to Shahid and Mira's first meeting, in an interview, Shahid had revealed the details of it. He had shared, "I'm still falling in love with her, a bit more every day. The first time we met, we spoke for seven hours. We were at a friends' farmhouse in Delhi. We went for a walk outside and the sun was setting behind her. I realised her eyes were not dark. They had a hazel tinge. That moment, I felt shayad main iss ladki se shaadi kar sakta hoon(may be I can marry this girl). But I also told myself, "What are you thinking? Like every couple, our favourite jodi of the Tinseltown also have their share of fights. In an interview with Neha Dhupia for her chat show, Shahid had revealed about the same, and had stated, "I usually get flustered when my wife and I have a fight. It bothers me, and I take time to get over it. It's once in a couple of months, but when we do fight, but ours lasts a long time, like fifteen days. You know it [ the tension] is there, and you finally talk it out. It's good to fight. It's important to hold your own. it's important to disagree and deal with each other's differences and resolve the problem. Problems are going to happen, and you have to get past that."
In another interview, Shahid had revealed that before marriage, he only met her 3-4 times before they finally agreed to get married. He had stated, “Mira and I never dated. We just met three to four times and decided to get married. I was about to start shooting for Udta Punjab when I met first met Mira. I remember I went to her house for the first time and I was in the Tommy zone.” He had further stated, "It was adventurous of Mira to agree to marry a guy who looked like Tommy. I also remember telling her — 'I am going to colour my hair.' You should have seen her face. She is this 20-something girl coming out of LSR College and she was like 'What?'
