Nonetheless, it was the custom jewel on the back that left everyone in awe.

The 98th Academy Award nominee, Michael B. Jordan, captured everyone's attention at the 2026 Oscars. The star was nominated in the Best Actor category for his dual role of twin brothers, 'Smoke' and 'Stack'. The actor played a role in the vampire thriller film, Sinners, which set a record for the most nominations this year. He walked the red carpet, did all the interviews, and took his seat. However, it was the eagle-eyed fans who soon noticed that his brooch was worn on the back of his jacket.

Now, Town & Country has offered a close look at Michael B Jordon's custom brooch. The beautiful piece is said to be custom-made for the star by New York-based jeweller, David Yurman and is part of a suite of three brooches. The brooch looked enchanting against his all-black ensemble, and the grace with which Michael carried the attire added stars to the marvellous piece. At the ceremony, cameras caught Michael wearing a mix of pavé and white-diamond brooch, which also featured a rose-cut black diamond at its centre.

Ever since fans got a glimpse of the brooch Michael B. Jordan wore, they have been intrigued by its details. Well, given that the brooch is a custom piece by David Yurman, the exact price of the jewel is unknown. However, given the prices of David's previous collections, the style matches his David Yurman Supernova and Starburst Collections. Hence, it could be estimated that the brooch ranges anywhere from USD 5,000 to USD 9,000.

Evan Yurman reflected on designing the brooch for Michael B. Jordon's appearance at the Oscars 2026. He revealed that the design is not just a reflection of David Yurman's signature craftsmanship but also of Michael's gravitas, both on and off screen. He shared that all of the pieces were handcrafted in the David Yurman New York atelier, and each brooch took 40 hours to complete. He stated:

Jordan embodies the essence of David Yurman men’s jewellery — unwavering strength, authenticity, and confidence.
