WNBA star Brittney Griner is currently going through a tough time as she is in the midst of separating from her wife, Cherelle Griner. Brittney filed for divorce from Cherelle after nearly eight years of marriage. The basketball professional has gone through the heartbreak once more in the past when she split from her first wife, Glory Johnson.

This time Brittney is embroiled in a custody row as well, seeking joint legal and physical custody of her kid with Cherelle. Amid that, here's a look at all the children of the basketballer from her two marriages. Though the marriages didn't last, their connection as co-parents remains.

How many children does Brittney Griner have? Here's all about them

Brittney Griner and her second wife, Cherelle Griner, tied the knot in June 2018, and five years later, they announced their pregnancy through IVF in April 2024. After three months, Brittney and Cherelle's baby boy, Bash Raymond Griner was born. The WNBA star was over the moon when she and Cherelle welcomed their only child, whom they named Bash Raymond Griner. She occasionally posts pics and videos capturing her fun times with the little one.

Before Brittney's relationship with Cherelle legally ends, the former is seeking joint legal and physical custody of their kid. As of August 1, 2026, a Georgia court is evaluating the plea to determine little Bash Griner's fate. Besides Bash, Brittney Griner is also a parent of a set of twins, whom she shares with her first wife, Glory B. Johnson. The basketball player and Glory welcomed their daughters Solei Diem and Ava Simone in October 2015.

Both Brittney and Glory wanted to start a family soon, and they embraced parenthood just five months after they got married in May 2015. However, things went downhill shortly after the kids were born as the sportsperson accused Glory of cheating. The former couple finalized their divorce one year after their marriage. Regarding custody, the court ruled that Brittney has no biological ties to the twins, as Glory got pregnant via IVF using her own egg and donor's sperm.

However, the basketball player was still the kids' legal guardian and was ordered to pay USD 2,516.97 per month in child support. Although Brittney Griner is not actively involved in raising her children, she does take care of them financially. Thus, Brittney has three kids, a son and two daughters, and she is currently embroiled in the custody row of her youngest child.

More about Brittney Griner's divorce from Cherelle Griner

According to court documents, Brittney and Cherelle have been separated since July 24, 2026. No specific cause for the split has been confirmed by either party. While Brittney has not revealed many details yet, she called her union with Cherelle "irretrievably broken." The divorce filing also reportedly includes an equitable division of marital assets and debts. As per the statement of Brittney's attorney, Randall Kessler, she hopes to get through the split amicably and privately.

Brittney and Cherelle met for the first time at Baylor University, where the former used to play before she joined the WNBA. Cherelle was also a student here and pursued a degree in political science and government. They dated for many years before the athlete decided to propose in August 2018.
