Manish Malhotra has been one of the celeb-favourite fashion designer for years now in the Hindi film industry. The talented artist has won hearts with his irreplaceable creations, that surely win the hearts of the audience with their appeal. Moreover, he also shares a fond relationship with almost all the top-listed celebrities, and has made a massive contribution by designing classic outfits for blockbuster films and other events. Recently, Manish grabbed eyeballs as he teamed up with the gorgeous yesteryear diva, Rekha for the cover shoot of the prestigious Vogue magazine. And now, he recalls his fond experiences from the same.
In an interview with Indian Express, Manish Malhotra opened up on his once-in-a-lifetime experience of working with the legendary actress, Rekha. Manish revealed how he had always requested the latter to team up with him for a grand photoshoot, and was glad that it finally got culminated during the Vogue cover shoot. Moreover, he credited it all to Rekha for effortlessly carrying his creations with her old-world charm and grace. In his words:
“I give the full credit to her. What I admire about her is she works for hours. She is into it and she keeps trying clothes. Even if I step out of the room to do other stuff, and come back into the room, the whole room becomes her. We are seeing the clothes and we are like, no, should we just do a little this or that and she listens, gets it and observes. She is like, yes, let’s do it like that.”

In the same interview, Manish recalled another special anecdote with Rekha. Calling himself her ardent fan, Manish mentioned how he found Rekha’s voice extremely beautiful and totally seductive. Therefore, he even asked her to stop addressing him as beta as it contradicts the tone of her voice. He mentioned:
“I keep telling Rekha ji that your voice is so beautiful and seductive, don’t say beta and all to anyone.”
At the age of 68, Rekha turned heads when she became the cover girl for Vogue Arabia magazine. The diva turned muse for Manish Malhotra and looked breathtaking in her royal-like outfits. From old-world angrakhas to raw silk and velvet outfits, exquisite sarees and unmissable pristine diamond jewellery, Rekha simply aced it all with her gorgeous avatar.

Rekha has often grabbed eyeballs due to the fact that she sports sindoor on her hairline, despite not being married. In fact, she kept her same style for the cover shoot of Vogue Arabia magazine as well. However, in an interview with Vogue, she spoke candidly about her take on love and relationships. She mentioned that when a person loves someone deeply, it does not disappear, even if the relationship itself breaks. In her words:
“When you love someone or something so deeply, does the love disappear? No. Once the relationship is established it is forever. Sometimes we may want more and sometimes it’s just enough. This applies to my craft."
