Bollywood actress, Malaika Arora's relationship with Arjun Kapoor has always been the talk of the town. Ever since they had made their relationship official, the much-in-love couple has been painting the town red with their mushy romance and cute PDAs. Their fans had also been eagerly waiting for the duo to announce their wedding. However, they have always been tight-lipped about the same. And recently, in an interview, the Chaiyya Chaiyya actress was seen hinting toward their future plans.
For the unversed, Malaika Arora was earlier married to Salman Khan's brother, Arbaaz Khan, and together they also have a son, Arhaan Khan. However, after being in marital bliss for almost 19 years, Malaika and Arbaaz had parted ways in 2017. Post their separation, Arhaan who is currently studying in New York, has been living with his mommy but also has easy access to his father's life.

In an interview with Bombay Times, Malaika Arora opened up about her relationship with her beau, Arjun Kapoor. She mentioned that they 'want a future together' and that the much-in-love duo is thinking about the 'what-next' phase of their relationship. Hinting towards their wedding plans, she revealed that the duo is at the mature stage and wants to have a future together. Malaika said:
“The most essential part is if we know we want a future together. If you are in a relationship where you are still figuring things out and saying, ‘Oh, I don’t know’... that’s not where I stand in my relationship. It’s sacred and important to me. I feel we are at a place where we’re thinking of the where-next and what-next parts. We discuss things a lot. We’re on the same plane, with similar thoughts and ideas. We really get each other. We’re at a mature stage where there’s still room for more discoveries, but we’d love to see a future together and see where we can take it from here. We laugh and joke about it, but we’re damn serious, too.”
Further, in the same conversation, Malaika mentioned that she is delighted and positive in her relationship with Arjun. She also talked about the confidence they give each other and their plans to grow old together. The Munni Badnaam Hui actress added:
“You have to feel positive and secure in your relationship. I am very happy and positive. Arjun gives me that confidence and surety, and it’s both ways. Yes, I don’t think we should be opening all the cards at once. We still love our life and romance together every single day. I always tell him that I want to grow old with you. We will figure out the rest, but I know he’s my man.”

Earlier, in a candid conversation with Janice Sequeria in the show, The Social media Star, Arjun Kapoor had revealed the real reason behind making his relationship official with Malaika Arora in front of the world. He had shared that instead of keeping any relationship hush-hush, he believes that one should always accept the truth and respect their partner. He had also pointed out that otherwise there would be more room for speculation among the people. The actor had said:
"I think where the personal life is concerned, instead of having speculation… what happens is that at one point, you realise that the more you let people speculate and write randomly or write without keeping certain emotions in mind, it makes the relationship or the feelings you have towards each other come across as frivolous. And if there is a quest to have a relationship, then it's better to just give it respect on your own by stepping out and saying, 'this is our boundary, and now we are together."
