Mahira Khan, one of the biggest names in the Pakistani entertainment industry, has come a long way since her acting debut in 2011 with the film, Bol. Her journey, marked by her captivating beauty and impeccable acting skills, has led her to be recognised as one of the best in the field. In addition to her successful projects in her homeland, Mahira also made her mark in Bollywood with the Shah Rukh Khan-starred film, Raees, in 2017.
Recently, the Pakistani actress took to her Instagram stories to wish her good friend and colleague, Azaan Sami Khan, son of the popular Indian singer-music composer, Adnan Sami Khan, on his 31st birthday. Mahira shared some unseen behind-the-scenes videos and pictures with Azaan, who also worked together on the Pakistani musical drama, Superstar. In the video, the two were seen dancing romantically on their song, TU, which was released in 2021.

Along with a few other pictures, Mahira also penned a sweet note for her dearest Azaan, asking him to aim for the Grammys as she has been eagerly waiting for the singer to receive one. The actress also mentioned that she hopes that the two continue to share the great camaraderie for ages to come. Mahira’s note can be read as:
“My dearest Azaan… May we continue to have what we have and more more more. More magic, more love, and more music.. Inshallah. I love you. And for god’s sake hurry up and get that Grammy nom.. I am waiting. Haaappyyy birthdayyy.”
On his special day, not only Mahira but several other of his colleagues, friends, and family wished the Pakistani singer, including his father, Adnan Sami Khan. The latter is now an Indian citizen and resides in the country, while his eldest son lives in Pakistan with his family. On May 22, 2024, Adnan Sami took to his Instagram account and penned a note mentioning that many don’t know about the beautiful bond between the father-son duo. He also said that he’s incredibly proud of his son's achievements.
