Ever since Alia Bhatt and Ranbir Kapoor announced their pregnancy, their fans are hooked on their feeds to get glimpses of their new journey. From Ranbir's twin baby rumour to waiting to get mommy-to-be, Alia's pictures, we are excitedly waiting to be part of their pregnancy phase. Recently, in a media interaction, soon-to-be-nanu, Mahesh Bhatt talked about his first reaction after knowing about Alia Bhatt's pregnancy.
On June 27, 2022, Alia announced her pregnancy news to the world. She had shared two cutesy pictures. In the first picture, we could see Alia and Ranbir looking at their baby's sonography report on the computer. The next picture was a family of lions, which was an ode to the couple starting their family soon.

In an interview with the PTI, Mahesh Bhatt revealed that he was overwhelmed after he got to know about his daughter, Alia Bhatt's pregnancy. The soon-to-be-nanu also called it the most challenging part he would play. The filmmaker said:
"It's the most challenging role I have to play as a grandfather. When I heard that she is going to have a baby, (I was like) 'Ah, my baby's going to have a baby."
The filmmaker also shared that Alia's recent transformation over the years has left him amazed and the entire nation. He said:
"I had hardly recovered from the phenomenal challenge that she displayed in recent years and kind of stunned the nation as well. And her magic was all in itself awesome. Then the magic that she is going to be a vehicle of life left me awestruck."
