Bollywood's adorable couple, Alia Bhatt and Ranbir Kapoor are on cloud nine as the most adored couple is expecting their first baby together. The much-in-love couple has taken the internet by storm with the good news, and their fans are showering love on them. However, it is Alia and Ranbir's family members, who are the happiest and are eagerly waiting for the couple to embrace parenthood. Now, Mahesh Bhatt shared his excitement about his daughter, Alia's pregnancy.
On June 27, 2022, Alia had announced their pregnancy and had left the entire nation stunned. The actress had shared two pictures on her IG handle and had sent everyone into a meltdown. The first picture was from the hospital, where Alia and Ranbir could be seen adorably looking at a monitor as the actress had got her sonography done. The second one was a picture of a lion and lioness pampering their little cub. Alia had captioned the pictures as:
“Our baby ….. coming soon.”

In an interview with the Hindustan Times, Mahesh Bhatt opened up about his daughter, Alia Bhatt's pregnancy and shared his excitement about the same. The filmmaker heaped praises on Alia and her hubby, Ranbir Kapoor and shared that their family was extremely happy after hearing the news. In his words:
“This is the most challenging role, which life is asking me to play, which is the role of a grandfather…It is a magical moment for the whole family. First of all, Alia has been a magical child since the beginning. She has amazed me with her extraordinary talent, which has displayed to herself and the world, and then the marriage with Ranbir, was a great, high moment, and I love the boy. He is an amazing kid.”
Further in the interview, Mahesh called Alia's pregnancy an astounding news and shared that Alia and Ranbir's baby will be a unique kid. The filmmaker added that he feels the newborn child will have the genetics of two extraordinary children, Ranbir and Alia, and there will never be a child like his grandson. He shared:
“There’s another universe which is going to descend in our backyard and in our life. It is quite astounding news. I am happy for Alia and Ranbir, and the entire clan. I am certain that the child which is going to be born will have the genetics of these two extraordinary children -- Ranbir and Alia. The child, who will be born… There has never been a child like the one which is coming soon, and never will there be a child. Every child that is born is unique and unrepeatable. That’s why I say that it’s going to be a universe in itself.”

Mahesh Bhatt also revealed his advice to the parents-to-be as a father and mentioned that there is nothing that can prepare them for the magical ride to parenthood. He added that Ranbir and Alia will have to experience and learn along the way as they explore this new chapter of their life. The 73-year-old filmmaker said:
“I have never been a person who has given advice to any of my children. The child will bring several lessons to teach the parents. They will have to learn, like any other normal parent as they experience the new phase. You can’t prepare your children for an extraordinary magical moment like this. They will have to grope, fumble and stumble and find their own ways to deal with the kid. Because this is far more… This is real life, not reel life. When real life steps into your organised life, it brings it magic, wilderness and its challenges. A new story is going to emerge with the arrival of this child.”
Indeed, Alia Bhatt's pregnancy news has brought immense happiness to the Bhatt-Kapoor clan!
