In the '90s, Madhuri Dixit and Juhi Chawla were considered the most gorgeous women of B-town. Everyone was madly in love with them and their beauty, in fact, there were many handsome men in the industry, who had tried to woo them. However, these two ladies had decided not to be in a relationship with any handsome movie star. In a joint appearance for a show, Madhuri Dixit and Juhi Chawla had revealed the reason for the same.
For those who don't know, Madhuri Dixit had found love in the man of her dreams, Dr Shriram Nene. The gorgeous had even left her amazing acting career to start her 'happily ever after' with her husband after tying the knot in 1999. On the other hand, Juhi Chawla had gotten married to Jay Mehta in a 'hush-hush' wedding in 1996. She had tried her best to keep her wedding a secret.
Recently, we stumbled upon Madhuri Dixit and Juhi Chawla's joint interview for Karan Johar's show, Koffee With Karan. During one of the segments, Madhuri and Juhi had shared the reason for marrying someone outside the film industry. Madhuri had stated, "With Shah Rukh I've done a lot of work, and with Salman. With Aamir, I just did two films. It's just that maybe I didn't like anyone enough to marry them. My husband is my hero." To which, Karan had stated that her husband might be her hero but she didn't give anyone else a shot.
On the other hand, Juhi had shared the reason that she was already wooed by Jay and she couldn't imagine marrying someone, who is self-obsessed. She had said, "They're all fantastic heroes, but I don't think I could've handled my husband looking into the mirror as much as I would." She had further added, "They are all superb heroes, but I do not assume I could’ve managed my partner searching into the mirror as considerably as I would. As an actor, you're so full of yourself, and I couldn't imagine I would get married to somebody like that, so I was quite clear."
Earlier, in an interview with Rajeev Masand, Juhi had talked about the reason why she had kept her marraige a secret. She had shared, "That time you did not have the internet and you did not have cameras on every phone, so you could do it that way. I was just about established and doing well. That’s the time Jay was serenading me and I was afraid of losing my career just when I had kind of got there. I wanted to carry on and this seemed the midway."
Well, Madhuri and Juhi are living their 'happily ever after' with their real life heroes and that is what matters!
