Since the day we were small, till the day we became tall, moms have always been the magical solution to our every problem. There have been days when we argue and yells at each other to nights where we make up for our behaviours. And so have Priyanka Chopra Jonas' mother, Madhu Chopra, and the two most stunning ladies share a beautiful bond. Priyanka's mother has always been the pillar of strength for her, even when Madhu ji's husband, Ashok Chopra passed away in the year 2013, she put on the tough face for her kids. We remember in a 2016 interview, Madhu ji had shared that they tresspassed the mother-daughter relationship and became friends when Priyanka was in her late teens.
Priyanka is soon going to celebrate her 37th birthday and her mommy cannot control her happiness and is reliving the treasured moment of her little mirchi. Today, on July 10, 2019, she took to her Instagram handle and shared a cute picture with her. She captioned it as, "Birthday bumps. Coming up!" Take a look at it below:
Coming back to Madhu ji and Priyanka's relationship, in an interview with Rediff.com, she had talked about Priyanka. She had shared, "I didn't see her growing up. I could not treat her like a daughter. Intellectually, she was at par. Physically, she looked like me. She had a lot of confidence and she used to share a lot of things with me. In an interview with the DNA, Madhu ji had talked about her daughter's wedding, and had stated, "It was an emotional moment for everyone. I broke into tears when I saw Priyanka dressed as a bride. I had waited for this day all my life. I was at a loss of words. When I saw Priyanka, I couldn’t control my emotions. The white gown was so beautiful. My baby looked like a princess."
She had further shared, "Priyanka looked ‘her prettiest best’ in the outfit. There was no jhatak, no jhilmil — it was a simple yet classy ensemble. We followed all the rituals to the T. There were no short cuts. I wanted an Indian shaadi for her and Priyanka knew that. She fulfilled my wish. It’s lovely to see the number of love people have for her and Nick. I’m immensely proud of her. It’s majorly because she has done so well for herself and still continues to be so rooted. Woh dekhke mujhe yehi laga ki chahein woh kitna bhi West mein rahe, she will always be connected to our culture."
