Social media influencer, Kusha Kapila has been heading all the headlines at the moment, ever since she announced divorce from her husband, Zorawar Singh Ahluwalia after six years of marital bliss. For the unversed, it was on June 26, 2023, that both Kusha and Zorawar, in a collaborative post on their IG handle had shared this important news to their fans. Sadly, after announcing their decision to divorce, Kusha has been receiving a lot of social media hatred and trolling. And now, she finally reacted to the same.
Taking to her IG stories, Kusha Kapila penned a note as she finally reacted to the trolling and criticisms that she has received over her divorce announcement. She revealed that the particular topic has been officially over for her. She added that she would not give a statement to any media portal, and since she does not have a PR team, as a result, she has been directly attacked with a lot of nasty and unsolicited remarks. Moreover, she also revealed that as a counter-measure, she has tried to cleanse her social media handles of all such trolling accounts, and even extended gratitude to her loyal fans, who have defended her on her behalf. An excerpt from her note could be read as:
“This topic is officially over for me, moving forward. I haven’t given a statement to anyone nor will I ever give one. I do not have a PR team, so no story is a plant. Ho gaya ab. Also I have restricted countless profiles over the last two weeks, restricted words, sanitised comment sections and hopefully we are at the tail end of it.”

Taking to his IG handle on June 28, 2023, Kusha Kapila’s ex-husband, Zorawar Singh Ahluwalia penned a strong reaction as he defended his ex-wife against the unjust trolls and criticisms being levied on her. In his long note, Zorawar mentioned that the painful decision of divorce was decided on mutually by both of them and most importantly, they still hold on to mutual respect for one another. In the end, he asked netizens to stop attacking Kusha and refrain from maligning her character in villainous colours.
Ever since Kusha and Zorawar’s divorce announcements, netizens have dug out older interviews and revelations of the former, as they believed she had been dropping hints about her separation all along. On the Reddit portal, netizens gave out various reasons for the same. While someone pointed out that on many occasions, Kusha had openly insulted Zorawar on public media, others felt that she was simply rude and entitled. In fact, some others even linked Karan Johar, and revealed that in one of Kusha’s joint interviews with the filmmaker, she had agreed on his beliefs that ‘sexual infidelity was not infidelity’.

It was on June 26, 2023, that Kusha Kapila had announced her divorce from Zorawar Ahluwalia, after spending a marital bliss of six years. The same post was shared by her ex-husband, Zorawar as well. They mutually revealed that they wanted different things in life, and for the longest time had tried to sort out everything between themselves. They mentioned that it would take time for them to move on from the pain of their divorce and would focus on moving on. They even revealed their decision to co-parent their furbaby, Maya.
