Kimberly Guilfoyle's lifestyle, both professional and personal, is drawing fresh attention following her October 13, 2026, resignation. The Trump aide and ex-fiancee of Donald Trump Jr. stepped down from her diplomatic position as the U.S. ambassador to Greece after White House publicly asked for her departure.

Guilfoyle, who was previously married to Gavin Newsom, has become a subject of debate amid allegations involving expensive unaccounted-for donations. Amid this, social media has turned its attention to the supposed cosmetic treatments she may have undergone over the years. Her old photographs have also reignited discussion of the controversial "Mar-a-Lago face" trend, which is increasingly being associated with female allies of President Donald Trump.

Kimberly Guilfoyle's facial transformation continues the 'Mar-a-Lago face' debate: What is it?

Reddit and X threads comparing Guilfoyle's current look with her older photographs have sparked a flurry of comments about how her looks have changed over the years. Some users posted images of her from her youth or from her marriage to California Governor Gavin Newsom, pointing out the difference in her looks compared to now. Many attributed the perceived changes to cosmetic procedures, while others summed up the discussion by pointing out the infamous "Mar-a-Lago face."

The phrase "Mar-a-Lago face" is not a medical diagnosis and certainly not a clinical term. It's a word that has been circulating on social media as slang used to describe a specific facial trend often characterized by high cheekbones, fuller lips, smooth skin, dramatic make-up, and sharply defined facial features. The term takes its name from Mar-a-Lago, President Donald Trump's private club in Palm Beach, Florida.

Over the years, the trend has attracted attention beyond Guilfoyle. Many public figures and Trump allies, including Kristi Noem and Laura Loomer, and more recently Susan Dell and Barbera Thornhill, have been drawn into online chatter about the aesthetic. However, the label is subjective and should not be treated as evidence of cosmetic treatment.

What have cosmetic surgeons said about Kimberly Guilfoyle's changing appearance?

Several cosmetic surgeons have previously offered their opinions on Guilfoyle's appearance based on photographs, although none of these assessments confirm which procedures, if any, she has undergone. It's no debate that Guilfoyle looks drastically different from how she used to, but she has never publicly commented on what treatments she took.

Speaking about Kimberly's modeling days, Dr. Dennis Schimpf, a board-certified plastic surgeon, told Glam that part of her changed appearance could be due to invasive surgery. The expert told the outlet in 2025:

"It appears she has most likely had a neck and lower or possibly complete facelift in an effort to maintain her tight jawline, neck, and address hollowing that occurs with natural aging. It also appears she had some form of surgical adjustments to her nose as well as her eyelids."

Schimpf added, "I think initially she started out with Botox to her forehead, crow's feet around her eyes, and glabella area, as well as good skin care. I believe over time she has continued to add to this, using fillers in an effort to improve bone structure and maintain the youthful, desired inverted-triangle appearance from her mid-face to her chin."

Dr. Gary Motykie, a board-certified plastic and reconstructive surgeon based in Beverly Hills and West Hollywood, told the Daily Mail that Guilfoyle's fuller-looking cheeks raised questions about the possible use of dermal fillers. He noted that weight loss can change facial appearance but suggested that fillers could also contribute to increased facial volume.

The renewed discussion about Guilfoyle's appearance comes amid a separate controversy involving her finances. The Wall Street Journal reported that she allegedly asked Republican donor Eric Deters to send USD 100,000 directly to her American Express account shortly before her Senate confirmation hearing in July 2025.

The Daily Mail recently mentioned a separate USD 250K request that Guilfoyle allegedly made to prominent businessmen in mid-2025 for financial help to settle the debt on her Mercedes-Benz G-Wagon. Her request was reportedly declined. With these speculations about her alleged extensive cosmetic procedures, public scrutiny has intensified against Guilfoyle. Her team has strongly refuted the donor request allegations, and the probe is ongoing.
