For those who don't know, the B-town was abuzz with the dating rumours of Kiara Advani and Sidharth Malhotra. And while we all prayed it was true, looks like they are nothing more than just friends. The stories started making rounds when the duo was spotted on a secret date. But they have always declined it.
Recently, in an interview with The Times of India, Kiara opened up about the same, and stated, "They all are "alleged" stories which are reported. Earlier I used to read such stories in the paper and get upset over it but now I laugh about it and it's fun. Over the time, I have realised that it is part and parcel of the industry business." In the same interview, Kiara also spilled the beans on her first love affair, and revealed "I fell in love and had an affair when I was in 10th standard and immediately we broke off for the reason that I was in 10th. My mom scolded me that I can't have an affair because I was in standard 10th and need to concentrate on my studies."
A couple of months ago, during Filmfare awards night, Kiara was asked the same question. To which she had firmly replied, "No, I'm not dating Sidharth Malhotra. I'm very single.” She had further added, “They are rumours only. That's the truth."
Earlier, in an interview, Sidharth was asked about his growing closeness with Kiara during a movie promotion, and the actor had stated, “Nahi yaar. I met her only once at Karan Johar’s party. After that I have not met her at all.” Well, we all know Sidharth and his famous affair with his Student of the Year co-star, Alia Bhatt.
However, they never accepted it in public, but when Sidharth sat on Koffee couch in 2019, he had admitted to Karan Johar about his break-up, and had shared, “We haven't met after it. Our relationship is civil... I don't think it's bitter. It's been a while. I have known her for much longer even before we dated. I gave my first ever shot with her in SOTY so there is so much history. There is a reason why two people decide not to be together. There were lots of ups and downs. When you take yourself from a situation, you look at all the happy and good memories.”
Sidharth had always been vocal about his sad break-up with Alia, and had talked about it in another interview with Filmfare. He had revealed, “We started our journey together, we have done two films. Varun, Alia and I have a deep connect. We've shared many emotions and experiences together.
