A crush is the cutest little tingling feeling in our heart that lifts our mood on a grey, wintery day. Our happiness level reaches its peak with just a glimpse of our crush and we do silly things to attract them. And we all reminisced our childhood crushes when last year, Sara Ali Khan had admitted that she 'likes' Pyaar Ka Punchnama actor, Kartik Aaryan on Karan Johar's show, Koffee with Karan season 6. We still remember how Kartik had blushed when he got to know about Sara's confession. Since then we have been rooting for Kartik and Sara to turn into a couple. However, that dream doesn't seem to come true as of now but thanks to the director, Imitiaz Ali, we will soon get to see their chemistry on-screen. Also, during their shooting phase, we got hold of many pictures of Sara and Kartik cutely posing for the shutterbugs and sharing wonderful chemistry while giving rife to the rumours of their linkup. On August 12, 2019, Kartik had shared a cute picture from Sara's birthday celebration, and had written, "Happy Birthday Princess @saraalikhan95 And Eid Mubarak (this time without the mask)."
For quite some time, there have been speculations that the 'rumoured couple' are no longer together. However, recently, Kartik Aaryan graced Kareena Kapoor Khan's radio show, What Women Want, wherein, the actress asked him the million-dollar question of his dating status. To this, Kartik stated that he himself doesn't know what is happening on that front in his life. He shared that his mother often reads news pieces to him and tells him the names that he has been linked up with. Later, Kareena in a fun segment asked Kartik to pick between like, friendzone and block from the following names. The first name Kartik was given was of Sara Ali Khan. To which, the actor's response came instantly with a blush as he said, 'Like'. Aww, isn't he cute!
A couple of days ago, we had spotted a video of Kartik and Sara from Star Screen Award 2019. While the event is yet to be telecasted, the pictures and videos of the same have been still trending on social media. And in one of the videos, we could see Kartik rescued his rumoured lady love from falling on stage as she almost trips over the train of her dress. Take a look at the same below:
In an interview with the Hindustan Times, Kartik had revealed about his relationship status and had clearly stated that he is single and is not dating anyone. He was quoted as saying, "Well, I want to tell you the official status. My relationship has no status. I am very much single. Ab main kya bolu. I feel it's a good thing that they (female actors) are giving me so much attention. I am blushing and I am happy and enjoying it." Right after wrapping up the shoot of their dream film, Aaj Kal, Sara and Kartik had penned a heartwarming note for each other. Sara had shared a couple of pictures and had written, "It's a WRAP!! 66 days & a million memories Thank you @imtiazaliofficial for making my dream come true I truly appreciate your warmth, patience and consideration with me every single day. Being on your set has been a privilege that I will always cherish and already miss. Thank you @kartikaaryan for instantly making me comfortable with you, for selflessly giving and for consistently looking out for me. From coffee’s about you to chai’s with you, I wish we could do it all over again. I’m going to miss you more than you know and more than I can admit."
To this, Kartik had posted an equally loving note that could be read as "When Veera says "...Par yeh raasta, yeh bahut accha hai. Mein chahti hoon ki yeh raasta kabhi khatam na ho" This is what shooting with @imtiazaliofficial feels like. 66 days were way too less. It's a wrap A film I never wanted to end.
