Sonu Ke Titu Ki Sweety actor, Kartik Aaryan is one of the most desirable men of 2019, and we think he will remain on the throne for a long time. From being the boy-next-door to the boy we all want our next-door, Kartik has come a long way. Kartik, who got a coffee proposal from Kedarnath actress, made headlines when he was spotted going on dinner dates with Ananya Panday. And, everyone wanted to know, who the handsome hunk is actually dating. Well, guess what? Kartik cleared the air surrounding his rumoured link-up in an interview with Anupama Chopra. He said, “Right now, I’m concentrating on my work. I think, relationships they do take a lot of time.”
Kartik further added, “Mere andar phir guilt reh jata hai ki yaar main iss relationship main hoon (but) main time nahi de pa raha hoon. So, that is something I don’t want to do with the other person. That’s the reason I’m committed to my fans and work right now.” When he was quizzed about the pap culture and his pictures that created the headlines, Kartik stated, “Even if I have gone out for a meeting, with the producer and the actress, then it is written about me and the co-star. Which is something I don’t get. Who logon ko maza aata hai likhne main, toh who likhte hain. In the same interview, Kartik got candid about his struggles and first paycheck. He opened about how he never talked about his aspirations of becoming an actor to his parents as they always wanted him to become a doctor or engines. The actor said, “Ek ad mila tha. Which was like an ad, hum saath - aath log hai, aur usme mujhe ek cardboard leke kuch naam tha aur khada (tha). That was my first ad. I got Rs 2,500 for it, cheque.”
A few days ago, at the trailer launch of Kartik’s upcoming film, Luka Chuppi, he revealed how his mother gets super-friendly with all his girlfriends. He said, “Whenever I get into a relationship, my mother ends up befriending my girl. And later if something goes wrong between me and my girlfriend, my mom continues to remain friends with her and then that gets really awkward between me my mom and my girlfriend or ex-girlfriend (Laughs). So that has always been a problem. Earlier, in an interview with a leading daily, Kartik talked about break-up's, and he stated, “In real life, I have faced such a situation many times. There have been occasions when I was actually Sonu in real life and thought my friend’s partner is not the correct choice for him. I was proved right later on. I have been Titu, too, where I had to choose between my best friend and my girlfriend. In fact, both of them were girls (smiles) and they didn’t get along. My best friend thought my girlfriend wasn’t good for me and she was right! The friend won as I had a break-up. This was way before I entered the film industry.”
Kartik also talked about the relationships he had regretted in the past. The actor said, “Yes, I have. I’ve faced a lot of struggle and been a victim of backstabbing. You experience all kinds of things in life and you move on.
