Ever since Pataudi princess, Sara Ali Khan professed her ‘crush’ for Kartik Aaryan in Koffee With Karan season 6, we all have been eagerly scrolling through pap pages to see if they have scooted Sara and Kartik going on a date. But much to our dismay, nothing have been seen of Kartik and Sara together, for the duo must be busy with their back-to-back releases, events and promotions, with having little time left to go on a date! A few days back, we shared with you, a Filmfare report which suggested that Sara Ali Khan and Kartik Aaryan might star as the lead actors in the former’s father, Love Aaj Kal’s sequel! It was also reported that Saif too, might have a role in his daughter-starrer film. But the same was refuted and no confirmation came from either of the two alleged stars of the film, until now.
In a recent interview with Times Now, Kartik finally answered the much speculated question about them starring in a film together. Speaking about the same, The Sonu Ke Titu Ki Sweety star shared, “I don't know koi soch raha ho shayad se. I have no knowledge about it. I think Sara ko poochna chahiye agar koi offer aaya hai toh.” But the best part was, when the portal asked Kartik if he is fed up with anwering questions about Sara, time and again in promotions, the actor quipped, “Why will I be fed up? Not fed up at all.” To which Kriti too, joked, “Poocho poocho...abhi dus questions!”
Kartik’s co-star, Kriti also shared, “I don't think they have spoken to each other so much than about each other.” Kartik reasoned it out and shared, “The thing is that she was being asked when she was promoting her film. Because once she had something then everybody kept asking her. So everyother day kuch na kuch aisa aa raha tha ki aisa laga raha tha woh bhi aisa toh nahin...zyada toh nahin...lekin I understood the fact that while you are promoting you'll always be asked these questions. Toh jab ab mera start hua hai promotion toh ab woh mere pe aa gaya hai ki main sawaal ke jawaab...” And Kriti once again hilariously replied, “I think Ranveer ko aisa lag raha hoga ki Kartik uske saath promote kar raha hai jaise mujhe lag raha hai ki Sara humaare saath promote kar rahi hai”. At the Lokmat Most Stylish Awards 2018, held in Mumbai on December 19, 2018, Simmba co-stars, Ranveer and Sara and the latter’s crush, Kartik Aaryan were all present under the same roof. As soon as Ranveer Singh spotted Kartik, he at once, took him and introduced him to Sara and he didn’t stop at just that! While Kartik and Sara were busy exchanging formalities, Ranveer was making hand-hearts and pointing towards them! Checkout a picture of the same:
Kartik had raised a lot of eyebrows a few days back, when he was spotted in the car with soon-to-debut, Ananya Panday. However, Kartik rubbished all rumours by saying, “People say all sorts of things if we have lunch or dinner together. It was just one dinner. I find it strange to read such things about myself.” In an interaction on Famously Filmfare, the Kedarnath actress commented on ‘her crush’s’ linkup rumours, “I find Kartik cute. It's a Sara-Sara thing. So how does it matter if he finds some other person whose name starts and ends with A cute. That's good for him.” At yet another interview, when Sara was asked to DM Kartik Aaryan for a date, she had said, “No, no, no... how much! I have said it everywhere. Itna bhi desparate nahi. Mom said you must wait. So, I am waiting!”
Like we shared, it all started at Karan Johar’s chat show, Koffee With Karan season 6, when during one of the most-awaited and fun segments of the show, rapid fire, Karan asked Sara the actor that she would like to date. To this, Sara at once replied, "I want to marry Ranbir Kapoor. I don't want to date him. I want to date Kartik Aaryan." Karan had further added, “I’m sure he wouldn’t mind dating you.
